Looked at a lot of different opinions, a lot of people say misting pins will make them abort. Just wondering if it is bad to slightly mist pins, and also mushrooms once they start growing. I keep introducing new cakes to my chamber so its been hard to avoid misting the already growing mushrooms when i mist new ones.

a light mist is perfectly fine during pinning. Just don't go heavy or you could run into some pins aborting, although I've never really experienced the issue. I like to leave a little more time between misting or even leave the lid to my tub off for a bit to let evaporation occur which really triggers pinning pretty good.

A slight mist is fine but I have experienced aborts from misting heavily and it's a pain. Still somehow it pumped it into the few fruits that were there and they got monstrous in size equalling to about the same as a tray with lots of small mushrooms haha. 1 mushroom weighed 13 grams dry. So maybe it wasn't from the misting, but it just knew what to put into it impossible to know 1 way or the other.

I give mine quite a good mist at least every morning & evening....sometimes a time or two in between if it's getting dry. I just make sure to fan until they are mostly dry on the outside...
