I'm looking for websites on hinduism that have audio talks or books or similar resources, my iPad won't work for YouTube so pretty much any videos are off, it would be a great help if you can suggest.
Thanks

here are a few resources
http://amma.org/
Sri Amritanandamayi Mayi Ma, or Amma, known as the hugging saint
http://www.utdallas.edu/~ramakrishnan/Swami_Vivekananda.htm
not a Hindu website but a great resource; Vivekananda is one of the best teachers of Vedanta
http://www.sriramanamaharshi.org/
Sri Ramana Maharhi's devotees' site, dedicated to him, there are some good teachings,
http://www.easwaran.org/the-isha-upanishad-the-inner-ruler.html
Isha Upanishad, a short scripture from the Upanishads
http://www.sacred-texts.com/hin/
There's a lot here, texts, etc. There's really so much info that it's maybe too much, but it's a good source if you wanted to look and find one or another. . the Upanishads are generally a little more accessible than some of the others; I also recommend Mahabharata, the epic, although there are probably better sources for it than sacred-texts. Sacred-texts is a pretty nice site in general, comprehensive of most religions.
There's also more of Vivekananda's work online, pretty much the complete works, those are very nice. Other than these mentioned, Sri Aurobindo is well worth reading, Sri Ramakrishna (was Vivekananda's guru) is wonderful, Rishi Nityapragya's music is very nice, and of course Ram Dass, who was part of the psychadelic movement, but went to India and got initiated, and thereafter taught from Hinduism.
Then there are old poets, Mirabai is a wonderful devotional poet, Tulsidas

Mira -
and

Tulsidas - on poetseers, a bio, etc.
http://www.poetseers.org/spiritual-and-devotional-poets/india/the-upanishads/3/index.html
a probably better source for Upanishads, a little more accessible with an intro.
http://www.poetseers.org/spiritual-and-devotional-poets/india/index.html
here is a Hindu poets section on poet-seers, I was looking for this earlier. . has a lot of the others; Sarojini Naidu is Fantastic.
Kalidasa is on there, he's a classic.. Tukaram as well. "How Could a Lover Fall?" is one I like, one has to click two links to get there, ast he first is just his bio. .
Rabindranath Tagore of course, is very famous, for his nobel prize win, he's there..
Also some nice info about Hinduism and the rest.
Hope this may help to get you started.
