    #21682142 - 05/15/15 08:40 AM (8 years, 8 months ago)

I have an oyster on straw basket, It started pinning but growth has stopped and the fruits are drying out.

Should I be watering this things? what else could be wrong?

How are you keeping the humidity up and exchanging air?

I had the basket colonizing inside a clear garbage bag with holes poked in it. When I saw that it started fruiting, I got rid of the bag. Then it stopped growing and the fruits dried out. So I put it on a shady porch and poured a few gallons of water on it.

If you are going to fruit your oysters in open air (no FC).  You need to mist them a few times a day and try to put them in an area with low air flow, indirect sunlight, and high ambient humidity.  If your humidity is too low and you don't mist often (in an open air environment), they will abort.
