I was listening to a youtube video about a shaman that journeyed through DMT (he is in the spirit molecule video and has a lot of great clips I like).
He talks here about dynamic action. That, to have a sustainable mystical life through all walks of experience we need to learn to exercise what we learn from higher states. I have often had that question... what vessels of community / practice are best to hold the wine of revelation, because revelation can dissipate once we return to the ordinary form of mind "we" here call Mother Earth. Any thoughts?
-------------------- Chopin in Eternal Sonata: "I believe that I am somehow being tested. That I am on this journey to come to some realization. And in order to do so, I think I’m supposed to live my life to the fullest, even if it is in this muddled world of dream and reality."

Association with saintly persons is very valuable; love, transcendental peace and joy all pass from one to another; traditionally it's talked about like magnetizing, or lighting a candle. We have two hands - one to help get pulled up, one to help pull others up, as Vivekananda put it.. The best actions are sometimes selfless actions, selfless service to the needy is traditionally seen -- however, in our current state, I would place the emphasis on a higher view -- cleaning up the oceans, and reducing consumption.
As for maintaining the fire of revelation, environment is huge; which is why every culture emphasizes a period of time spent in nature, in the wilderness. The Kanak call it, "The real life, which can't be found in cities," Zen have the tradition of "You go up on the mountain, but then come back down," Jetsun Mila of course, taught the most worthwhile thing is to attain peace, and then to share it; and Christ and the Desert Fathers practiced deep meditation as well. So I would say, for me it comes down a lot to that - get it, and then share it - it's important to find supreme peace first; it's not easy to pull people out of a river if we're still struggling in it ourselves, and the attempt itself can backfire.
Dynamic action comes naturally once attainment occurs; deeply listening for our ancestors' voices is a good way to hear them; and spending time with trees, who have long thoughts.
