So here is a couple of my jars that I am worried about. Not sure if it is cobweb or something. I had a situation and had to leave my jars in my car overnight and it got slightly chilly out. These jars were fine until that situation. What am u working with guys????!

I am not sure how smart that is really. Metabolites are a response towards a bacterial infection. I guess it could be stalled and there is a slight chance it might rectify itself but maybe it would flourish once it comes to spawn to bulk ?? I dunno

I'd keep em around to see what happens but right now they don't look great. Maybe make more jars while waiting?

Iv used suspect jars in the past look at my oats thread i just made ....my experiment kicked ass. If in fact it was bactirial ... realitivly new to oats..first question i asked in a long time..
Oh and a little bactiria isnt grounds for termination imo.. unless the bactiria smells or visibly fucked

Are you sure it was bacterial? I did look at it and it just sounded wet. His looks very wispy and unhealthy. Normally mycelium looks way stronger. Just saying to keep it isolated but not to have any expectations.

No! Never spawn unless 100% colonized. This hobby and science is not for some one who has no patience. Some spores can take up to 3 weeks to show any signs of growth, possibly more.
It would help if you give more information on your parameters. Mycelium will grow anywhere from room temps up to 80F but will stall growth at 83F+

I do not think jar size has anything to do with it. People have grown myc in half pint jars and smaller.

Care to elaborate on what you did to "pre sterilize" your jars?

They look like they have grey mold. I'm not sure if that's cobweb or not but I have had the same type looking stuff in the past. Mine looked like they had dried out and had a grey powdery shit in them.

Jar size make difference. You should PC more when it get bigger. Maybe it doesnt make much difference between 250cc and 660cc but i think it definetely make difference between 250cc and 2000cc. And i asked because i have issues with contams at my first times but since i switched to PC them for 2 hours i had 0 contam issue

Those jars are full of mold and bacteria. They need to be tossed.
