Does monotub consolidation affect potency?

Hey all just got a quick question
Does letting your monotub colonize for say an extra week or two before introducing it to fruiting conditions affect the potency of the mushrooms at all? I read somewhere that psilocybin is produced in the mycelium before it starts to fruit, otherwise being inactive up to that point.
can anyone give me some insight? I have a cambodian tub thats been colonizing for 8 days now, and if simply being more patient with my tub means stronger fruits, I am most certainly interested!!

i didnt know about consolidation at my first attempts and there were no problems. I think consolidation is about getting more fruits because myc is digesting the sub while consolidation. and because of that it will be more ready to fruit. But again they are very good without consolidation i didnt see any problems.

It actually makes it an uneven pinset with lots of aborts if you consolidate. Potency is more or less genetics based. If you have good genetics it'll produce lots of potent mushrooms.

Potency is likely the hardest thing to find concrete evidence for in any direction. There's tons of theories, but so many variables go into potency (or rather, perceived potency) that it's basically impossible to narrow down.
Lots of people think smaller fruits are more potent, others think the opposite. The amount you ate that day, how often you've tripped, the genetics of the mushroom, your mood, and a whole host of other variables can account for varying trip.
Who knows?
