wisdom teeth
    #2167865 - 12/08/03 02:32 AM (13 years, 3 months ago)

i wasnt sure where to post this, but if not here im sure a mod can fix it.

my problem is my teeth
more so my wisdom teeth

they've been growing in for years now.
they are verry painful

the top two came in fine
its the bottom ones that are a hassal
somestimes there fine, and they grow in fine.
sometimes it hurts cause i feel i need to "knaw" away the skin ontop of them
for them to keep growing.
the most painful thing is infections from food.
usualy it would just get extremly pussy to the point i could pop it and the preasure
would imediatly go away. no more pain.
i started cleaning them with a tooth pick after eating so no food gets stuck in the skin
but 'my' right tooth is now in horrific pain.
i beleive is an infection, but its far in the back and to the side instead of on top.
theres no way for me to "pop" it out.
and i cant seem to do anything with a tooth pick but irritate it.
its making the side of my jaw swell and my glands under it to flair up.
ive tried swishing hot salt water over it, and it seems to keep it at bay from getting worse.
but its still not making it go away.

help please??? anyone??

i know some people say, go to the dentist.
well that would be nice if i had insurance.
but i dont, and im poor.

any advice???

well, i'm afraid the dentist is the only one that can remedy your cause. at least i'm pretty sure that there aren't any methods to cure wisdom teeth problems besides pulling them. they will eventually come in i am sure and they will just push your teeth around and crowd, making things bad. there's no way you can see a dentist?

theres no way that i know of.
all of my money goes towards bills and rent.
i dont make much and dentist arent cheap.

besides, i realy dont want them pulled.

the other 3 are fine. theres no problems with them the skin has retracted from them
its just this one thats having problems.
and i really enjoy using the pair that arent in pain,
there very useful for chewing.

yeah man you gotta get it pulled if its hurting ya. You can get some serious jaw issues and stuff. I dunno I just watched the video about wisdom teeth before I got mine pulled. It makes sense to get at least the one thats bothering you pulled imo.

if youre in canada you can wait till they become abcessed and get emergency surgery and painkillers for free.
but it will take weeks of intense pain and illness before an oral surgeon will got at you.

hey man.. I can't offer any advice.. but I can offer some reassurance, for I feel your pain
my wisdom teeth have been growing for a long while, I probably should have had them removed two years ago, but like you, am too poor for such 'luxuries'. Three of them seem to have come in pretty nice, but one is presenting a problem. It was hurting for a long while, as it pushed against the back molar. Eventually it created so much pressure on that neighboring tooth that eating a wheat thin cracked it in half, ouch..broken back molar. The sharp point it created sucked as it hurt my tongue everytime I chewed, but eventually that wore down. The pain isn't usually noticeable most of the time, unless I lay down.. sometimes when I lay down at the right time the blood rushing to my head will create a pleasant throbbing sensation of pain, reminding me that I am alive..oh how grateful I am. Thank you lord for this pain I am about to receive, and this wave of torture that prevents my sleep.

well, that probably doesn't make you feel better. But at least we know we aren't alone in our suffering. Thank god.
I think if I had some good pliers, I would probably yank it out myself.. but I don't think I could get a proper grip on it..
But yeah.. what a wonderful medical/insurance system america has eh? unless you're from some other country in which case I am shocked.

/me calls dentist.. hey buddy, how much to pull a wisdom tooth and fix a cracked molar.. dentist: muwahahaha.. 900..  too bad I can only afford food. :frown:

there isnt enough room in the jaw for these teeth to come in, they can actually grow so big that your jaw breaks, just get em pulled and dont pay the bill if anything
