Hey guys,
Just currently in South Australia at the moment, back yard ends at Kuitpo Forrest. Waiting on spore prints at the moment however I thought Id get this written up now and add the pictures in a few moments.
So I have 3 different species all of which im certain are not active however I need to start somewhere and get this confirmed so I can go for something else.
ps if anyone else is around kuitpo forest in the next month would be cool if we could hunt together. from the UK but here for another few months so would be great if you could assist me/eachother
Species #1 Habitat:Found between fallen down Pine Tree(dead) on very moist soil between pine in Kuitpo Forest, SA
Gills: light light brown almost white.
Stem:all bout 2inchs long about 1 to 2 mm in diameter. browny white colour. Believed to be hollow as its very thin
Cap: about .5cm to 1.5cm diameter, browny white colour of paraboloid shape.
Spore print color: WILL ADD MOMENTARILY Very important!
Bruising: dark greyish. loses the white colour.
Species #2 Habitat: Found between fallen down Pine Tree(dead) in Kuitpo Forest, SA Australia soil is very moist
Gills: looks similair to a faintvery faint) purple/blue shady white gill
Stem: between 2 and 5 inches long between .5cm to 1cm thick. solid stem
Cap: 1.5cm-4cm diameter of like a cinnamon brown colour. flat round cap, some of them invert like would be concaved then not then concaved all around the edge like concave flat. Frilly is an easier discription(sorry dont know the proper word for this)
Spore print color: WILL ADD MOMENTARILY Very important!
Bruising: no change to colour that I can notice
Other information: most of them at the bottom of the stem i notice an obvious bluey purple colour.
Cant wait to get these spore prints but im pretty sure you could ID them just with this info maybe.
