ID for Victorian Mushrooms.

Hi
This is my first post in Shroomery. I have been watching this thread for around a year now and have tried to pick up some knowledge from the range of experiences everyone else here brings to the table. I have some pics of some little specimens I found today but already I am highly doubtful. They grew from the ground and bruise orange so to me they don't have any similar traits of the psilocybe that grow here in Melbourne/Victoria.
At first I thought they were galerina marginata, but noticed they don't have a ring on the stem. I am a little dumbfounded, but I do realize that I couldn't even know 1% of the mushroom world yet and was wondering if someone was able to enlighten me!

Habitat:
They grew from soil and chips around dead bark and twigs, alongside leaves and viney plantation.

Gills:
Are creamy rust colour and adnexed.

Stem:
White stems from 5cm to 8cms long, strong and fibrous.

Cap:
Orangey golden caps that are from 3 cm to 6 cms, that turns slightly translucent towards the rim.

Spore print color:
N/A

Bruising:
Rusty :frown:

Other information:
Smells like a mushroom I would cook with if that makes any sense!

Thank you!

Ps don't mind the little nature shots.

They're a Cortinarius species

What's the give away for that species? Is it the orange gills? Thank you for your quick reply!

They're mycorrhizal with nearby trees so they grow straight from the soil. They have a cobweb like partial veil when young. They also have rusty brown spores giving the gills a similar colour when mature.
