Any Collectors Out There?
    #21676337 - 05/13/15 08:15 PM (8 years, 8 months ago)

I Love going to flea markets to find things that I can resell and make money. When the price is right, I will pick up anything I can make a buck off of. For a while I was a HUGE collector of Beatles memorabilia and Beatles records. But I am THE BIGGEST fan of Star Wars! So most of my life, I have acquired quite a collection of vintage Star Wars toys and memorabilia:grin: I am a total sci-fi nerd... And Now that these new Star Wars movies are coming out, I have a good feeling that some of the vintage star wars stuff could make me a pretty penny:thumbup:

So what do you collect(other than drugs;))? Do you collect to resell or to keep for yourself?

Vintage (1980 and older) Gibson guitars.  Just started last year as I did a lot of reading up and researching.  Bought a 1975 Les Paul Deluxe, and a 1972 SG Standard, both in excellent condition.  They average and increase of 10% a year in value...

I have my "player guitar" and they just sit in the cases and age, I bust them out once in a blue moon.

Yeah, if I had money I'd collect swords and other primitive weaponry. And guns.

I collect flyers and poster and other promotions from the festivals/parties I go to.

It started because I always need something to roll up my weed on and those big cards work perfect and fit in my back pocket.

Now a little over a year later I have a bow filled.

One day I when I have a big enough house to have an office/trip room, I want to put them up on the wall. I want to take up the whole wall or ceiling with these trippy little pictures that have so many memories and thc on them.

Nice, if you do get serious into collecting Gibson's look into getting some pre norlin era gibbys. That is where the real money is with vintage Gibson's.

Exactly, but gotta start somewhere.  There is quite a bit in Norlins as the Deluxe were a limited run and most were butchered to fit full size humbuckers, so finding a nice all stock one is a score, but nothing near the extent of dollars as in the pre.

The Emperor and Obi-Wan

Few other figures

I love how this one says "Revenge of the Jedi"

These are probably the most valuable figures I own... R2D2 with pop up lightsaber - AFA grade 8.0 and Princess Leia - AFA grade 7.0

lunchboxes

Jabba the Hutt and some various Star Wars Lego sets

Landspeeder

B-wing

Y-wing

Lightsabers!

This is the majority of my Star Wars stuff... Still need to find a couple other boxes of stuff. I collect anything that I know I can flip and make money from, so I got a crapload of boxes to go through. Vintage Star Wars was always one of my favorite things to collect though.

And here's X-men #7 Signed by Stan Lee

I absolutely hate guitar collectors that dont play. It is lucrative but guitar wood sounds better as it ages.so we have all these collectors sitting on these wonderful instruments to make a buck. Meanwhile musicians are struggling with cheap instruments to try and soun d good and be the next big thing.
