Set-up and Tek questions

Hey Shroomery,
Im an ambitious beginner, and just joined the community. Im a BIO major, and i thought growing some fungus sounded fun. I jumped the gun when i first read PF's Tek to magic mushrooms, and invested in Verm.&BRF And jars. I made the whole styrophome cooler FC and it had been A couple of weeks, just barey seeing some knots before i dove in to shroomery for a week and came out a little disapointed with myself. Well i worked backwards a bit and am Trying to get the best with what ive got now, but tbh money isnt an issue, niether is time.Im going to try to SG some cakes with the dunk and roll method. Im using Evil mushrooms 666 "My take on BRF cakes" Tek. Heres my set up, but ignore the PF set up on the left, the shelf and it will Be removed when i start fruiting in the Shot Guns.

So ive got two 62L sterilite tubs, with 1/4' holes about 2' apart all 6 sides. These Tubs are on top of larger tubs, and when the have perlite I will raise the Shot guns with 1/2 pint jars to get FAE from the bottom. THEY ARE IN A SMALL CLOSET, which is about 77 degrees f. but not pushed to the walls, with a fan In between that oscillates that i will turn on just a little bit more than i will Spray my dunked and rolled cakes, on foil on top of 4.5" of saturated perlite. About a yard up hangs a 6500K light, that i will have on 12/12light/dark.
Can i get some critique, or an "okay go" from somebody? Set up sounds almost too simple, im scared to load it with cakes and waste my time, As i did with these probably oversaturated, suffocated, seemingly dormant Little cakes of mine in the PF cooler. Also, ive got a nice glove box.
Also some questions, Will the closet limit my FAE negetively, even if the door stays open? I shouldnt bother incorporating my US or any drip shield, correct? It wont Be needed? Is this method, with Shot gunning dunk and rolled cakes, Modern and effecient enough to at least start me off as a begginer? Or is it more wise to start with a different method entirely, before trying cakes?
(DISCLAIMER: THIS IS SIMPLY ROLL PLAYING, THE TEXT ABOVE IS FICTION)

Yes remove the fan and imo I would use something taller than half pints to elevate your tub I use quart jars to elevate mine you want good air flow through the bottom holes...everything else sounds like you got a good idea of what your doing...fruit away... best of luck!!!

Ideally at least 6" clearance on all sides.

Okay one more question, im making more jars Today for my SG, that i will dunk and roll, But sincei have the set up built as of today, I went ahead and moved my old cakes from the PF cooler into my shot gun. THEY WERE NOT DUNKED AND ROLLED. Just bare mycelium that Has been in the cooler not fruiting for 2 weeks. Should i dunk and roll them now? I read something About late dunk and rolling causing cont. but i assume I cant spray them being as they're bare, and im worried they don't have enough water to fruit.

Here it is. My SG as of now, a few minutes after this picture was taken is at 92% rh, 77 degrees f. As you see there are my babies Should i spray em? Dunk em? Just wait and see?

Always spray your cakes. With or without dunk and roll. Still you should just dunk and roll them now while there's no pins. Better late than never.

i wouldnt use taller jars for cakes, it takes more time to colonize their bottom because they are not having enough GE imo also moisture content tends to gather at the bottom if you use tall jars with cakes (if you are not good at setting the moisture content right for tall jars) so this can cause problems like bacteria or not colonizing. that jars seems ok and good i think.

to be more spesific:

as you can see in my pictures i am using a 66cl jar for my experimental cake, cakes are more solid then grains (grains have more space between them and this allows GE to reach everywhere more effectively). So it is tall and nearly %95 colonized but as you an see the last part is the bottom that still uncolonized and i had to separate the bottom of the cake from the jar.

I was talking about the jars on the ground lifting his sgfc up off the carpet...not the actual myc jars... solid advice though about the bigger jars with cakes being a bitch to work with.
