Tek and Set-up advice

Hey Shroomery,
Im an ambitious beginner, and just joined the community. Im a BIO major, and i thought growing some fungus sounded fun. I jumped the gun when i first read PF's Tek to magic mushrooms, and invested in Verm.&BRF And jars. I made the whole styrophome cooler FC and it had been A couple of weeks, just barey seeing some knots before i dove in to shroomery for a week and came out a little disapointed with myself. Well i worked backwards a bit and am Trying to get the best with what ive got now, but tbh money isnt an issue, niether is time.Im going to try to SG some cakes with the dunk and roll method. Im using Evil mushrooms 666 "My take on BRF cakes" Tek. Heres my set up, but ignore the PF set up on the left, the shelf and it will Be removed when i start fruiting in the Shot Guns.

So ive got two 62L sterilite tubs, with 1/4' holes about 2' apart all 6 sides. These Tubs are on top of larger tubs, and when the have perlite I will raise the Shot guns with 1/2 pint jars to get FAE from the bottom. THEY ARE IN A SMALL CLOSET, but not pushed to the walls, with a fan In between that oscillates that i will turn on just a little bit more than i will Spray my dunked and rolled cakes, on foil on top of 4.5" of saturated perlite. About a yard up hangs a 6500K light, that i will have on 12/12light/dark.
Can i get some critique, or an "okay go" from somebody? Set up sounds almost too simple, im scared to load it with cakes and waste my time, As i did with these probably oversaturated, suffocated, seemingly dormant Little cakes of mine in the PF cooler. Also, ive got a nice glove box.
Also some questions, Will the closet limit my FAE negetively, even if the door stays open? I shouldnt bother incorporating my US or any drip shield, correct? It wont Be needed? Is this method, with Shot gunning dunk and rolled cakes, Modern and effecient enough to at least start me off as a begginer? Or is it more wise to start with a different method entirely, before trying cakes?
(DISCLAIMER: THIS IS SIMPLY ROLL PLAYING, THE TEXT ABOVE IS FICTION)

damn. you're a BIO major. "jumping the gun", that fucking sucks.
sucks because, if you have an interest in BIO, you're gonna fucking love this hobby, I guarantee it.
Honestly, I lightly skimmed your post, but the mention of "BIO major" makes me want to break the curiculum down like this:
CUB 101 - Introduction to Cubensis - this is the class you've 'jumped the gun' and registered for, the shotgun fruiting chamber and cakes method.
I have a sneaky suspicion, you would have been better off registering for:
CUB 201 Advanced Cubensis - the pressure cooker, agar, monotub fruiting chamber and still-air-box method; unfortunately CUB 101 is typically considered a prerequisite. I took CUB 101 and in retrospect I'm glad I did, however, I much rather would have taken both classes simultaneously. not an ENG major obviously.
If yeilds, learning, and down right fucking fun/rewarding hobby is what you're after, I say do both.
The CUB 201 class offers a hands on, and at times frustrating, experience with "real world" lab work and mycological practices. But don't be fooled, the CUB 101 class can be just as frustrating if not more, even though it's touted as being the "begginer" course, it's full of surprises and variables that can fuck up your day.
One difference should be noted: the CUB 201 fruiting chamber, the monotub, is limited to certain species that can tolerate CO2 a little more, that's why having a shotgun fruiting chamber is so handy, cause it's adapted to more species.
In conclusion, I think you should get a pressure cooker and some agar, and a still air box.
Hope that point-of-view is of some use.
Cheers!

Well thats more than i needed for inspiration, i didn't put much thought into why i went so head first into this, until i realized it was more than practical, I saw it was a hobby right down my alley, and im sure i wont slow down. Thanks a lot for your post, monkey jesus. Ill definitely be registering for CUB 201. After i get it down, I cant wait.
