So glad I quit smoking
    #21674790 - 05/13/15 02:16 PM (8 years, 8 months ago)

Haven't had a cigarette in 2 weeks and I'm just doing the E cig now.  My lungs feel so much cleaner and my sense of smell and taste are getting better every day.

Right on man, I havent fully quit smoking but Ive cut back a ton in the past 6 months

Went from smoking 1-2 packs a day of unfiltered cigs to only smoking about 2 packs of filtered cigs a week on average

Vaping really helps

Good for you man!

I did the same thing in February, but I honestly don't feel any different at all. Its weird. Everyone I know who's switched said they felt loads better within a week or two. I literally feel exactly the same as I did while smoking a pack or more a day.

Can anyone explain why I haven't enjoyed any of the awesomeness that everyone else gets from quitting? Aside from the significant amount of money I'm saving, that is.

Its not really "awesome" you just save money and dont have to deal with the hassle of smoking or the negative health effects that come along with it.

With all the restrictions on places smoking is allowed and the ever rising price of cigarettes smoking can be a pain sometimes.

I agree. I dab, but I doubt that could be it. I only dab like 2-4 times a day usually. Sometimes less.

When you do it indoors in a public place you just have to hold in the vapor so you dont blow clouds and attract attention and no one will say anything

You may be right.

I've quit weed before, but I've never quit smoking weed and cigs at the same time. I don't feel bad or anything, just not better than I did when I smoked either. I'm probably not gonna quit weed/dabs though. The pros outweigh the cons for me.

Anyway, sorry I kinda derailed your thread. Congrats on quitting; and I'm glad you feel better.

LOL, this is true. I do it, but in some places around here, FSU campus for instance, you'll get fined. Even OUTSIDE!!!

Banning vaping is stupid.  There's no second hand smoke or that much of an odor.

That's exactly what the FDA wants to do though

They want to completely do away with mods drippers ejuice everything except shitty gas station cigalike vapes

And they might get away with it too so now's the time to get into vaping before they push the market underground

As far as I know, FSU is the only place in the world where you can't use any type of tobacco product or tobacco replacement product anywhere on campus.

Well as of now the industry is unregulated therefore the FDA has no authority over it

They're trying to get regulation with help of lobbyists from the tobacco + pharmaceutical industries

If the FDA gains regulation they could cripple the whole industry

There's more info about the situation and what you can do to help stop them in the E-Cig forum on this website, stickied right at the top

Wouldnt they have to make nicotine itself a regulated chemical than?

That would be fucking ridiculous.

Yes and they'd have to ban Vegetable Glycerin + food-based flavorings, which I don't see how they could but I wouldn't put it past them

If they ban nicotine you can just grow your own tobacco and extract the nic yourself

Wow well guess thats the latest addition to my list of the ways I know doom is iminent for humanity.

So far the list is:

Salvia Divinorum being made schedule 1
Kratom being made schedule 1
Ecigs/vaporizers being FDA regulated

Or hell you could just buy a carton of cigs extract the nic from that and that'd probably be enough for a bunch of ejuice depending on how many mg you use

So it's not gonna be easy for them but it still worries me
