Same here, my great grandfather was a Mason but once I learned about the supreme being requirement and dogmatic rule system I lost interest.

I don't believe this is true. My old guitar teacher was a Mason and he toked up all the time.
It is true, unless you're a legacy. Idk for sure that drug use excludes you, but I bet it does. Obviously, if it does exclude you, you don't let them know you use drugs.

I doubt his fellow masons were aware of this, who really knows though

Drug use does not exclude you from becoming a Mason unless it effects you in a negative way.
Masonry also has no god or gods. Although you must have the belief in a higher being. Whatever you choose to call or visualize that higher being to be is entirely up to you.

It really depends on off you're in the Grand Orient branch or Scottish rite mason. I'm pretty sure the European masons swear in on a blank book instead of a bible.

Well, you can't be a mason if you're involved in illegal activity that is contrary to the laws of your country. I think IF you're in Washington or Colorado,it's oK to consume MJ in moderation. But obviously you have to act in a regular respectful way and not bring censure or embarrassment to the order.
I don't recommend freemasonry to anyone who is not willing or able to sacrifice getting high.

Ever heard of the Royal Order of the Jesters? There a sect of perverted freemasons who are involved in all sorts of debauchery.

My grandfather was a shriner; and I worked with a shriner who told me anything I wanted to know. The Masons pique my interest, but I'd never join their society.
