Please help identify-Pans? Active?
    #21666440 - 05/11/15 05:31 PM (9 years, 8 days ago)

I am new to this site so I hope I am doing this right.  I need help identifying these.  They came from the northwest Indiana/southwest Michigan area.  They were growing on horse dung.  The gills are dark. The spore print looks black to the naked eye but I haven't gotten it under magnification yet. They have an earthy smell to them.  I believe it is a Panaeolus of some kind, but not sure which one.  I am curious if they are edible and/or active.  Thank you in advance for the assistance.
