mushroom hunting for 3 years with no luck...

When I say 'mushroom hunting', I sort of need you to think outside the general sense of the phrase since around Toronto, Canada psilocybin mushrooms don't grow. I hope this post isn't gonna break any sort of rules on this forum, and I'll try to make it not to.

I have a friend who has been researching psilcybin mushrooms for about the last 3 years now, but his connections aren't great and he hasn't been able to get his hands on a decent amout to go to the 'next level' of research. He really wants to try shrooms but cultivation is not an option right now, what would you suggest he do?

a) Nothing, the Teacher will find the student, when the student is ready.

b) Actively try to meet new friends that can help him out.

c) other suggestions? P.M. me if you like.

lol that was funny, surely you know that Toronto is roughly 2/3 the distance across north america going east from Vancouver... hehe, but yea, if I'm ever down there I'll be sure to poke around the bushes.

if actives don't grow in your area, you can't travel to other areas where they do and you can't cultivate then your only option will have to be buying them. you can hunt edibles almost anywhere on the globe, so you've still got a nice hobby. good luck

when it comes to the mushroom market, you are gonna have to sniff out the supply yourself. again, good luck .

Attn PWN hunters: If you should come across a bluing Psilocybe matching P. pellicolusa please smell it.
If you detect a scent reminiscent of Anethole (anise) please preserve a specimen or two for study and please PM me.
