popcorn colonized... can I fruit?
    #21657520 - 05/09/15 01:53 PM (9 years, 11 days ago)

Looking to stick my popcorn colizined 4 jars into my fc - I've never had success with casing w/coir and am scared that if I case these or at  least some, they will turn contaminated.

if they contaminated there is a huge chance it was your spawn not the coir, you are going to want to case it with something....or spawn it to coir would be even better

It doesn't matter what i think of you...all that matters is clean spawn

I'm tired do me a favor

Here's something that might help. Shake up the spawn jars but don't open them yet. After a couple days when the mycelium has visibly recovered but before they've grown back into a single mass gently pour them into your trays and add your coir layer or whatever over the top of them. That will help reduce the recovery time which is helpful if the cause of your contamination is bacteria in the spawn.
