After a few too many oyster contaminated cube subs I decided not to grow any more oysters. I'm switching over to edibles exclusively now. No one else grows them anywhere near me. They are very easy to grow with exceptional BE and ROI. I think they are my best bet as far as turning enough profit to quit my job and grow mushrooms for a living. As long as I harvest early the spores shouldn't be a big problem.

wait what happened? your cube subs were contaminated from growing oysters near by? oysters are awesome, easy and super great tasting. good choice. the pinks are a little smaller fruit bodies and the yellows are really nice!

I had a few cube subs grow oysters instead of cubes.
These bottles were both inoculated with cube LIs.
on an interesting side not some of these oysters bruised blue.

I wish I had tried them but they rotted before I got the chance. I still have a spore print from one of them kicking around somewhere. I don't know what happened to the clone I took.

I'm thinking a couple of my cube plates got contaminated with oyster spores. I had oysters fruiting pretty close to where I was doing my SAB work at the time.

only the strongest survive. darwinism up close.
it would be awesome if you produce an oyster with the taste of an oyster and the actives of a cube. ill give you the medal of honor for that one!

That would be sweet. I'm to the point now where I can barely bring myself to eat cubes.

been there, done that, bought the shirt, rode the jet ski lol.
pans are much easier on the belly. i find mexis taste like wood. i gag on them.
although i can pop ape like popcorn. those are probably the best tasting cubes to me. ive gotten tot he point when i harvest i can feel that cringe go up my jaw and i just feel the effects when i harvest a big tub. it almost makes me gag thinking about it. i been eating cubes since i picked them in cow fields when i was 15. had some crazy 2 week binges during rain season.

I get that same feeling whenever I harvest or have large amounts drying. I stopped making gel caps with my cubes because handling all that powdered cube made me gag like a bastard. I don't mind eating pans as much. Pseudoaztecorum are very woody in texture but taste a bit like pumpkin seeds and I don't mind eating them too much at all. Lately I mostly make tea though. Last weekend I made 2 liters of tea using 450 grams of fresh PE/KSSS, 1/4lb of lizard king, 1/4 pound of B+, 6 ounces of cambo and 2.5 ounces of PE. I took one shot glass full of that shit and was tripping balls within 15 minutes. Why bother eating that shit when one sip of tea is all you need.

Shit sorry for getting so off topic pasty. I didn't realise what thread I was in.

You put all that fresh product into 2 liters of tea? Could you describe the process a little?

Only the PE/KSSS was fresh. I soaked the fresh material in water and vinegar for 24 hours then added a little over a pound of dry cubs. and enough water to cover everything. I boiled it down until all the liquid could fit into 2 tall Ziploc screw tops and strained it threw a cotton shirt.
