Yet more questions on spawn bags

So if I do bags do I have to use a tyvek sleeve? Will they contam if I do not? Can I open while hot in front of my hood and seal then so I can use my PC immediately?
I've been doing bags with no sleeves and my spawn is horrible. I rarely get through a first flush and I would like to fix this. I have left colonized bags sit and they start going green after a few weeks but look great before that so I know its still my spawn.
All my agar/plate work is still clean so its not my hood. Its something between end of PC cycle and during inoculation.
I only inoculate with what appears to be 100% clean myc from agar so either something's getting in my bags before or during inoculation.

the reason for the tyvek sleeve is so as your pc cools and draws in air it isn't' drawing in any contams into your bags

It doesn't matter what i think of you...all that matters is clean spawn I'm tired do me a favor

So if I'm using sleeves can I pull my bags out hot? And let them cool in front of my hood?

No. You'll get a lot of condensation inside bags if you pull hot bags out of the PC, and stick them in front of the flowhood to cool. Let your bags cool back down to room temps inside of the PC. Don't remove sterilized bags from PC UNTIL they are cooled back down to room temp. Once PC is cooled off, just prior to inoculating your bags, open the PC, and retrieve your bags. Wipe your bags down with an iso soaked paper towel just before placing uninoculated bags into direct sterile air of flowhood. Wipe ALL tools, devices and media vessels with an iso soaked paper towel before placing them into the direct downstream of the flowhood too. Basically, ANYTHING & EVRYTHING that is placed into the direct downstream of the flowhood should be wiped thoroughly with an iso soaked paper towel first.

So when I've used sleeves in the past I always get grains stuck to the tip of my sleeves. Is there any way to avoid this?

As you pull the sleeve out of the bag tap the sleeve through the bag a bit to knock the grains off, or pull the sleeve out half way and use both hands to sorta lightly rub the end of the tyvek sleeve through the plastic bag with your palms. You still might get a couple that stick to the sleeve though. Works pretty well with sawdust bags.
