Wolf of Wall Street.

Jordan Belfort.

I've recently acquired his "Straight Line Persuasion" system. Cost: $2000

I really don't like dealing with anything labeled a "system". In this case, somewhere I got a little more information about him, his history, etc., and figured I'd take a look.

His personality, actions, demeanor, hand gestures... instill about as much confidence as a used car salesman. Without even meeting him in person, I already don't trust him.

But, being three videos in on his 10-DVD "system" has me concentrating more about the presentation and less of the presenter. I'm thinking the psychology of selling, interpersonal/extroverted skills one could learn from his personal experiences he describes, may be beneficial in a host of real-world dealings with people when wanting to motivate them to buy your product.

I've no previous selling experience, so I may be just grasping at straws for ideas and motivation to get my life moving.

Are you a sales person? Has anyone experience with Belfort's systems?

im not a salesperson, and would never swindle people out of money. although i enjoyed the movie, he stands against just about everything i believe in as far as being a decent human being goes. he is the epitome of what is wrong with America and why were sinking further into the dumps.

the only things i would ever sell would be things that truly benefit my customer, as well as myself. anything less and i walk.

Belfort is great at what he does. He has a set of skills that most people lack.

Had he done his job legally he would be a billionaire by now.
Most of his money was made by organizing a team, selling a product... blah blah blah, legal shit...

I've seen parts of his system on youtube and he seems to know what he's talking about.
It's hard to teach people something that is intuitive in yourself but not in others.

My opinion of him is not based on his actions in the 80's...

When I first saw the movie I thought, "this guy should be in prison still" but how would that help society? He did serve 2 years..
