Thought I'd document a slight change in growing conditions.
I have decided to pull back on the light intensity for the little ones for 4 reasons.
First, the purpling stems, may be from too intense indirect sunlight. Second, the lighter green coloring on the leaves, may be from too intense indirect light Third, to mimic more closely conditions on the floor of a cloud forest, where the light is rarely above 200 foot candles, again current conditions exceed that. Fourth, to stimulate vertical growth, let's see them stretch a bit.
They were getting a maximum 1200 footcandles for a brief time in the early morning, that will now be a maximum of 640, avg 300-400 fc
This adjustment shouldn't interfere negatively any progress with their normal growth. A close eye will be kept to monitor progress.

It's awesome how much you are thinking out the conditions

And then there's the danger of over thinking... Hopefully because I'm aware of those dangers, I can avoid them. I just want to let them do their thing, at their own pace without me messing them up.

Yeah I struggle with over and or under thinking things. Finding a balance can be hard sometimes.
Letting plants do their own thing is definitely my favorite, that's also what plants do best
Salvia has a pretty fast pace too compared to many other plants, very fun to watch em grow. Looks like you are doing a great job so far!

Let me offer a little background. I acquired a small amount of seed from a fellow grower who hand pollinated in the same method as I.
It is interesting and maybe worth documenting that these new seeds are much smaller than mine were, 2 maybe 3 times smaller. I know that this new seed is Blosser and I am unsure what mine were. Maybe a characteristic difference of Blosser and Hofmann/Wasson is the size of their seed. I thought my hand pollinated seed was from a Hofmann/Wasson mother and this may just confirm this, but more study must be done to confirm my suspicions.
The Blosser seed
