Semi Bulk LC.

Have a left over LC master from this thread here that this cultivator is NOT convinced is dirty due to the way things in that thread are going, as well as, due to the inoculations of these substrates here with the same LC master that are so far being found to be clean.

So a fresh, 4 inch long, 14 gauge, blunt-dispensing needle was whipped out, so that culture may be extracted from the depths of this quart jar. Understand, recycled syringes are being used to extract said LC, so the syringes must be emptied of their contents (water), as well as, injection needle with cap used to originally sterilize syringe MUST be removed aseptically, then replaced with the 4 inch long dispensing needle. The injection needle with cap must then be placed directly into the downstream of the flowhood with the open end facing the HEPA, torch ignited, gloved hands soaked in rubbing alcohol, then the 4 inch long needle is flame sterilized from the bottom of the needle to the top before you can even THINK about getting culture out of the jar. That's a lot of steps. Once the 4 inch long needle is flame sterilized, the needle is dipped into uncolonized part of liquid media to instantly cool syringe, then needle is stuck into the center of live liquid culture, and the plunger is pulled.

Each syringe was assigned to inoculate it's own 1 gallon bag of sterilized rye/horse manure/gypsum/spent coffee grounds, super highly nutritious, grain spawn mix. No soak cycle was applied to the grains. The bags were fitted with a tyvek wrist sleeve fitted down into, and in between the gussets, then folded down accordion-style for a run through the PC. Once bags were loaded into the PC, a PC bottom insert was placed onto the bags, the lid to the sterilizer was lubed with vaseline, water level of the steroclave was adjusted accordingly, the lid to the steroclave was fitted & clamped down, the stopcock was opened up, and the heat was set to high. Once steam was hissing out of the stopcock for a consecutive 5 minutes the stopcock was closed, and pressure inside the steroclave begins to rise. These bags got sterilized for three hours at between 17-22 psi.
Since there's no impulse sealer, and these bags had to be folded accordion-style in order to be properly sterilized, yet are being inoculated with LC, the bags had to be inflated inside of the direct downstream of the flowhood, and sealed at the top with a zip-tie BEFORE the bags could be inoculated with LC. Once the bags were inflated and sealed, the LC syringe needle was flame sterilized, and the bags were inoculated through the bag it's self on the opposite side of the filter patch, then sealed with 1 of 4 strips of packing tape about 2 inches long that were prepared, and stuck to the side of the work bench pre-inoculations.

If these inoculations are successful there is enough spawn here to generate 6 - 50 quart, Sterilite brand, clear plastic storage totes modified into monotub fruiting chambers using a 1:2 spawn ratio. Resulting substrate depth - 1-2 inches.
-Update 5-14-2015.
The 3 bags featured in original post 7 days out from inoculation that were inoculated with a potentially suspect LC.

Generally, if an LC is dirty, contamination will usually rear it's head at about the 5th or so day out from inoculation. Another time LC contamination will often rear it's head on said LC's receiving substrates is at the time of the shake.

and you usually got good BE and good size mushrooms with only 1-2inches of substrate dept? do you always use such thin substrate?
