Yep, it is pretty nice to have access to all the mushrooms we do. Personally I still think cactus is where it's at though! A level 5 cactus trip is the true definition of 'soul cleansing'! Too bad it's so hard to consume, mushshrooms are light-years easier in this respect.

The amount of blue is to do with the oxidation of psilocin not psilocybin. Psilocin is of no use to you as the monoamine oxidase in your stomach will destroy it. The psilocybin breaks down in a pass through your liver to psilocin at which point it is used by the brain.
Your theory doesn't hold water I'm afraid, yet you are picking mushrooms before they open and release spores - thus preventing next years new mycelial creation there and elsewhere. Additionally if you waited just a while longer to let that happen the fruit mass would be exponentially greater, giving you more mushroom.

There are plenty of resources out there. Go read. And I mean beyond this website. Perhaps you may even want to look at the chemical structure of psilocin and compare it to DMT, and then eat some DMT and think about why it has zero effect, yes - there is one oxygen additional which makes a difference. Estimates are estimates rather than science. Look beyond the end of your nuts that seem to hold a fascination for you.
This thread is always good for a bit of humour.
what in the serious f**k are you babbling about.. you must be more wasted than me on my 14 subs

I've been in NZ for a year and half so far and I can tell this is the country that always (or most of the time) gives you more, no matter what we talk about! Yes, it has its problems and failures, but overall it's amazing in some many ways it's hard to describe. Anyway, I'm new into the mushroom culture. Actually, I've never tried a mushroom. I found some Amanita Muscaria close to my house a couple of days ago and that's how I ended up joining this forum. I'm letting them dry slowly and steady to give them a bite! Nevertheless, another user told me I should go for the Psilocybin mushroom instead. And then I found this thread. So now I'm wondering, where could I find these around Auckland?

Psilocybin mushrooms are psychaedelics (serotonergic). Amanita have depressant and anti-cholinergic (i.e. deliriant) effects. You can't compare the two, psychaedelics (serotonergic) are vastly superior to deliriants IMO.
Be careful if you're planning on using deliriants, they can be dangerous at high doses and you will not be able to distinguish reality from hallucinations. Psychaedelics in contrast are profound / positive and leave you with much more control and are almost impossible to overdose.
Psychaedelics >>>>>>> deliriants.

Whoops, sorry, I just want to keep people safe and they should know Amanita consumption is not without some risk. Anyway, here's a pic of my current Maka pot which has started fruiting (home grown sorry so not too much of a hunt!).

Safe shrooming! (D.A.R.E and all that )

Yes - that is right - you ingest psilocybe mushrooms and you have a psychedelic experience. Methinks you didn't read or understand my post. Lets end this discussion at this point.

Shit what happened. It's like watching a movie and going for a piss only to return and everybody is dead on the floor... like WTF lol.
Maybe there should be a certain thread just for sharing your knowledge on the chemical make up and use by the body etc. One where people can wank on about how much they know compared to you lol.
It's only early days guys so let's keep it on topic and be helpful to one another and simply ignore the jerkoffs questioning our intelligence.
Good luck everyone

Hi all,
I know it's frowned upon to ask for IDs in this thread, but I'm 95% sure these two mushrooms are the goods (Psilocybe weraroa). If someone here could alleviate that little bit of doubt, I'd really appreciate it:

Found in bark. I left a few specimens to get bigger, but I was wondering: would these two alone be enough for a mild trip? Or would I just be wasting the mushies? How long would thye store in the fridge?
Also: as you can see, I was a bit clumsy with the collection. Seeing as it was my first find of the season, I got excited and accidentally removed part of the mycelium... I read somewhere about a cardboard tek being quite a successful, reliable method of making a pot that will fruit in subsequent seasons, but that weraroa are a bit trickier to cultivate for some reason or other. Could someone shed any light on this?
Thanks!
