Cops wouldn't, you'd probably get arrested. But if the loophole is applicable then the courts would "uphold justice". I suppose your mushroom spot would be well known the authorities if they catch you 'grazing' them though LOL

The cops really cannot be bothered chasing mushrooms. There is no organised black market for them. They occur naturally everywhere. There is not a flood of shroom casualties in the A&E dept in the hospitals every mushroom season and all the science that is available states the drug is a positive life affirming substance.
The majority of mushroom users I would contend are very good people who possess higher than average intelligence, have empathy and respect towards others and generally mind their own business and cause no trouble in society.
Now, who is keen to go get pissed as fuck in town with me and go and bash up some fuckwits? It will be awesome man!

Funny story, just last night I was at a bar with some friends and some friends of my friends. I smoked some weed with my mate beforehand, and we were all just having a good time - I had like one jug of beer and was pretty buzzed. This guy from the other group keeps talking about how he's been at the bar since 4pm ('cause he's so cool) and me and this girl from their group kept talking shit about it like: -"Hey, do you know how long he's been here for? You know he's been here since like 4pm!" -"Whoa shit, he must be really cool!"
Anyways, it was pretty funny for a bit, and this guy is pretty drunk and we're all just having a laugh. Then when we start moving out, this guy gets mad as fuck - comes up to me and starts threatening me like: -"If you take the piss out of me one more time I'm gonna fuckin' kill you!"
And I'm there, pretty stoned and chill as fuck - and I am just finding the whole situation pretty hilarious. Like, he's not too intimidating. He'd probably beat me in a fight, but we're in the middle of a bar and most of the people around us would back me up, so nothing would go down. So, as I've already said twice, I'm pretty stoned - and this going down just makes me crack up. So this guy just keeps threatening me and I'm just on the floor laughing (literally)
Then when we started heading outside he was still at it and it was getting a bit annoying, so I just wanted him to cool down - so I was just all like "I don't wanna fight you man" etc (typical chill-stoned talk). Eventually we went our separate ways, and nothing happened - but it was an interesting experience.
He was probably the first aggressive drunk I've met - but it just made me realize even more how the whole stigma attached to weed, mushrooms, LSD, etc is so ignorant and unjustified.

Threads for other countries contain information about species that do not grow in New Zealand so might contain a lot of irrelevant information.

Have the rest of you noticed that the THE OFFICIAL NEW ZEALAND PSILOCYBIN MUSHROOM SEASON THREAD each year is the most active of all the psilocybe mushroom threads here? We have by my own count possibly 8 or more individual psilocybe species growing here. New Zealand is a psilocybe paradise.
Us Kiwi's do get right into our psychoactive mushrooms in a big way. I think it is really great that there is so many people here sharing pics and knowledge and enthusiasm for mushies. We are super blessed in this country when it comes to free psychedelics.

I've noticed this too.. We really are blessed psilocybe wise. Extremely blessed. New Zealand's biodiversity is just insane given our geographical location..

Psilocybe subaeruginosa. Let them grow a bit bigger next time, check the image in my signature for an example of how big they can get. Nice find
I find the ones that get to large are way less potent than the small ones. you can see by the amount of blue they go when you mush them
The amount of blue is to do with the oxidation of psilocin not psilocybin. Psilocin is of no use to you as the monoamine oxidase in your stomach will destroy it. The psilocybin breaks down in a pass through your liver to psilocin at which point it is used by the brain.
Your theory doesn't hold water I'm afraid, yet you are picking mushrooms before they open and release spores - thus preventing next years new mycelial creation there and elsewhere. Additionally if you waited just a while longer to let that happen the fruit mass would be exponentially greater, giving you more mushroom.

Mathematically it is quite improbable given the land mass size of this country. A real enigma.

Does anyone believe the more mushrooms you take, the more they follow you everywhere you go? Are they conscious aliens?

There are plenty of resources out there. Go read. And I mean beyond this website. Perhaps you may even want to look at the chemical structure of psilocin and compare it to DMT, and then eat some DMT and think about why it has zero effect, yes - there is one oxygen additional which makes a difference. Estimates are estimates rather than science. Look beyond the end of your nuts that seem to hold a fascination for you.
This thread is always good for a bit of humour.

If you are picking and handling 100s of them at a time you are then covered in spores, you are spreading them.
