Does anyone know a service that allows you to exchange messages anonymously? Something in deep web perhaps?

There are email providers on TOR-only sites that can provide email services anonymously. Text Secure is a great app for your phone to encrypt your texting.

Thanks, I will look into Text Secure. What I'm really after is an safe direct chat environment. Something along the lines of encrypted messenger on tor network.

I use a smartphone app called Wickr. One of the only messaging apps I'm aware of that denied backdoor access to government, law enforcement groups, FBI, etc.
"In 2014, security firm iSEC Partners tested two assertions about Wickr, namely that it provided excellent End-to-End data encryption and that it contained "No Backdoors," and concluded that both assertions were indeed true."

i wouldn't use it for anything very sensitive but you can use OTR for a number of chat services, google etc. not sure how secure this encryption is.

For chat XMPP/Jabber with OTR is probably what you are looking for. For messenger I would exchange public pgp keys and send short encrypted msgs over wickr and use a pgp/gpg app.

i have used pidgin otr with google account. but is there a better way than using fucking google or facebook? i know it's encrypted because i look at the records that they keep forfuckingallofeternity, but sure would be nice to get away from them entirely. this is for bullshitting with friend over IM like i have done for years but in the last year or so i realized how much personal information we discuss, health matters, family shit, finances, who knows what else.

XMPP is how you want to connect your pidgin, and still use OTR. http://www.hacker10.com/computer-security/the-best-xmppjabber-servers-for-anonymous-chat/
