An aquarium with a 1 1/4 layer of perlite on the bottom, filled up with water 1/2 form the bottom makes an easy chamber. Just put the fully colonized cakes on top of the perlite for a couple days then rest them on top of a jar lid until the first flush is over. You can put the cake back on the perlite to suck up more water for more flushes. Just keep the water level in the aquarium no less then 1/4 preferable 1/2.

oh, by the way, that is 1 1/4 inches and filled up 1/2 of water from the bottom. Just open the lid daily a hit the inside with a fan to clear the co2 out.
