Definitely helped me to integrate a bad trip from many years before. Didn't really do shit for my childhood PTSD.
But did help me to realize that I needed help with it. So indirectly it cured it

Don't really have PTSD but it is an interesting question. What brought you to this question?

I would say ayahuasca is probably the best thing you can do to sort out mental trauma you've experienced throughout your life. Smoked DMT could help but it is so short of an experience that it is hard to really work anything out. I hear MDMA psychotherapy is hands down the best method for curing PTSD, but ayahuasca may be a close second. Much more work involved with ayahuasca though.

Y'know I always found that Anahuasca or the entities of hyperspace seemed to just simply pretend that they or it was working on me and my own PTSD (from a psychotic break) but not really do anything much. At least not when making a big ostentatious circus out of it anyway! One time I remember it brought down this big hyper-galactic (whatever that means!) machine onto me and went to work on me churning and whirring away at me with its ineffable and metaphysical technologies.
At a later date however when I flashed back with cannabis, the death loop from hell was very much still alive and kicking. I sat down and resisted reacting to the hallucinations/delusions telling me I was going to die that time so I guess that might seem like progress but really that was just a case of fool me once!
I was rather miffed that it was all still there.
I doubt very much it can cure things as deep as my own PTSD as it would mean curing me of my fear of death basically. Thats a big ask of a healthy human being wired to resist death at all costs!
Still facing it and not totally freaking out is still pretty good I think!

I haven't had the benefit of MDMA psychotherapy but both Ayahuasca and MDMA have helped me quite a bit.
I take Lexapro now. See a therapist. Smoke weed and eat mushrooms.

Lexapro doesnt have any adverse effects with the mushrooms? Like not working or dulling the trip?

I'd say I feel less overwhelmed now that I'm on Lexapro. Not just when I trip but in general. So that's definitely changed the dynamic of tripping as my overall set has improved.
Visually I get more out of it than I did before which I've been quite surprised by.
I'm sure everyone reacts differently but for me the SSRI has really helped me to relax and see some really cool shit

Very cool and I am glad to hear that it works for you. The paxil I have been taking helped with what I wanted help with but now I am not sure if it is doing anything so I am getting off the shit (slowly). Hopefully when I am fully off I will be able to tell the difference between trips of being on an SSRI and not. Hopefully I just don't have a high tolerance.

I don't have PTSD either, but I have dear ones that do. I have some childhood traumas (who doesn't) that I'd like to get over and forgive some people.
I brought it up because MDMA assisted psychotherapy takes place and supposedly works well. I wondered if anyone here experienced the therapeutic combo. It is controversial of course, but hopefully one day it can become the norm. It was even on that show the Doctors, I found snippets of the show online. Check it out.

DMT helped me a lot in forgiving my father. My C-PTSD may never be 'cured' though. It's like growing up in a polluted environment, your lungs may never be as good as other people's.
Something's you just have to manage as best you can.
