Thanks man, we still have a good laugh about that night as well.
Yup, you just never know for sure what is coming when you dose up, I have taken hundreds of trips and I still get butterflies in my gut before dropping.
3 weeks ago I downed about 20gm of fresh makarorae. It was a fucking mindblower. The visuals were STUNNING! The whole blue sky looked like a fractal blanket had been cast across it while I was chuffing on a spliff outside at the 1 hour mark. I remember sitting there with my shades on thinking haha nobody could tell how seriously melted my senses are right now if they walked past me. It was an epic trip.

Yeah Wgtn inner city sucks for woodchip beds because they spray em. The new war memorial's full of inactives, and probably actives too, but they've all been sprayed w cancer juice. Oh well, out to the suburbs

Stunning pics twit. In my experience, I would never have expected to see weraroa growing in an environment like that.

That does look like mahoe (whitey wood) behind them so maybe there are rotten branches under the grass? I'm yet to find weraroas but I'm getting familiar with what to look for thanks to everybody on here.

Just had these identified as my first ever actives and was told to put them up here Id say a hundred or more where I got them right by a little stream so its always moist and also next to a steep bank protecting them from the wind

Fan dry until they appear mostly dry, then store with desiccant. 1-1.5g dry would be my recommendation for a starting dosage.

Yes as hooker said, 1-1.5g would be more than enough. Read up on some trip reports here http://www.shroomery.org/6255/Trip-Reports

Went for a night walk. Please slugs keep eating the Leratiomyces ceres, that'd be great. Keep off my patches though!

I notice a page or two back someone mentioned councils spraying wood chip beds. In my region they spray it like you would to water a garden - everywhere.
There was a famous research paper known as the Seralini Study done a few years ago that was suppressed. It has been updated and again is in the public domain.
Here it is - if anyone thinks glyphosate is safe you need to be reading this. This is genuine research, and it doesn't get any better than this.
http://www.enveurope.com/content/26/1/14#sec7
They also said this in it:
"The author(s) declare that they have no competing interests, and that, in contrast with regulatory assessments for GMOs and pesticides, they are independent from companies developing these products."
I'm posting it here so that the NZ fungi searchers know what they are getting exposed to.

I've encountered noticeable spraying at possibly 1-2 places ever out of countless places over years and years, maybe just chance or maybe they dont spray my area im not sure.
