Too dry??

first time grower. i picked my first flush a week and a half ago and I'm waiting for the second round of fruiting. are they too dry? the get misted in an auto terrarium for a half hour with an hour break in between. the temp stays between 75-85F. any tips?

Build a sgfc to the t and stop misting is my advice . I can't tell from the pics if they are too dry but you can compare weights of those cakes to one's that were recently birthed to see how much water is still in them.

How come you didn't roll em? Did they at least get dunked?

If you dunk and roll, it creates a microclimate on the surface and you'll get more pins. Also, they'll flush longer and won't bruise as easy from misting. I had 6 cakes I didn't roll and they took way longer to pin, fruited sporadically, and I don't even know if I'm gonna get a second flush out of them now.

I would dunk and roll sooner than later. It will give the myc a better chance to grab onto the verm layer. I waited too long to roll mine, making the same mistake, and now it doesn't really have the same effect. Getting less pins and they just look way worse than the ones I dunked and rolled out the gate. The verm layer isn't really "sticking."
