Rick and Morty speak for themselves.
--------------------
Ephesians 6:12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. Psalm 12:6 The words of the Lord are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times. Hebrews 11:3 Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear. Revelation 3:11 Behold, I come quickly: hold that fast which thou hast, that no man take thy crown.

They explain "creationism" with science though, and how they could be one and the same somewhat.
Rick and Morty is pretty great too, I love the sci fi plots and randomness but some parts of the show bother me for some reason.
-------------------- Don't worry about me, I've got all that I need. And I'm singing my song to the sky You know how it feels, With the breeze of the sun in your eyes. Not minding that time's passing by I've got all and more, My smile, just as before. Is all that I carry with me I talk to myself, I need nobody else. I'm lost and I'm mine, yes I'm free

Dolphins used to live on land and moved to the sea because there was better resources.

Darwin even said himself, his theory on evolution was flawed. He said you would see half monkey, half human bones.

People often overlook the fact that science is an ongoing thing, even some dogmatic scientists.
Richard Dawkins is sorta a dick, but I'd suggest reading The God Delusion. Maybe his earlier works would be better, as he isn't so harsh on "believers".

Yeah I wasn't raised in religion so I never believed the concept of "god", atleast the way it's explained by religions.
But even with saying that, watching Dawkins almost always infuriates me, he may have good arguments and points, but he's just such a condescending prick about it that I almost want to go against him just because of the personality behind the voice. People who aren't studying this shit for a living, asks him questions, and he immediately attacks them and what they believe and attempts to belittle them for even thinking it. It's the way he goes about it that makes me mad.
Neil DeGrasse Tyson is unbelievable in his approach, and by far more informative, he just gives you the information, and if asked about religion, will explain in depth and try not to be insulting about why it probably wouldn't work or why he disagrees, and if that doesn't work, he just says, well these are the facts, and your mind is for you to decide whatever you want, just don't bring it into the science room if you disagree with science.

I didn't think about Neil! Thanks for the reminder.
Richard takes the view that religion is deadly and similar to rape. He's pretty serious about it and I can definitely see where he is coming from.
I remember a panel discussion of sorts between him and leaders of other religions. It was amazing. I need to find that and post it.
Thanks again for the reminder.

Don't forget Hitchens either, love that guy lol, he can at times be a little over the top and infuriating in the way he goes about it, but the manner in which he speaks and the eloquent way he presents it always has me sucked in, man truly had a brilliant mind.
He did a debate against 4 Christians at once that was astounding, at some point a disabled man (who I believe was the announcer at the event) asked him about disabled people and god, and he brought up an instance where a lady in Austria was held in a tiny underground chamber where she was raped repeatedly for over 20 years or something ridiculous, and even had kids that never saw daylight and were birthed down there, and it was her father doing it. The way he explains his defense of why god didn't help disable people in that situation and the passion you can see he has when he explains it in depth was amazing for me.
Not saying he is right or wrong, but the man is very informative and thought provoking and I would strongly suggest people watching his debates.

Religion is like a virus. People do generally not get religious unless someone infects them. I see this as child abuse, children younger than 6 believe everything their parents tell them. That's how the human nature works, if you did not listen to your parents in the caveman age, you would be eaten by a lion or something. These patterns haven't been erased from people and that's why parents are "all knowing" to kids.

I plan on raising my children the way mine did, I didn't even know of the concept of religion till late elementary school when some friends talked of Jesus and I went home to ask. They told me something like ,"whatever you decide to be true is what will become your truth" or something along those lines, in my late teens I started really reading into religion (different religions). Ended up having no answer.
But I plan on waiting till my children are old enough to choose what they want to believe, instead of making them believe what I believe at their most impressionable age. And if that means he grows up and becomes Christian, or muslim, or mormon, then so be it, it will be his mind to do with as he pleases by that point. (I say he because I hope for a boy)

DUDE! That is my whole point xD
When we say or think things, they are. They can be good, bad, false, true, you name it... In the end, it just is. This is a reflection of God. He spoke us into existence and made us in His image. We are wonderfully and fearfully created. Higher than angels even. This is the whole reason Lucifer and 1/3 of the angels fell from Heaven. They chose not to worship us, let alone identify themselves as lower than us, so they bounced.
