Habitat:

I was walking a nature trail here in kentucky and came up on a huge mound of mulch about ten feet high and roughly 50 to 80 ft wide.I found these growing at the edge with weeds around them on the north side of mound.
I noticed very dark spore deposits already on the top of some because the were all clustered together.the caps were all a little over an inch to 1 1/2 inches. the stems wereball showing some bruising.Anyone know if they are ovoids or one of the panaeleous.currently collecting spore print but I think its gonna be very dark.
