As far as all the bullshit racism remarks on this thread...I only ask one question that I want each of you to answer honestly and from your heart...What would you be like today if you were raised in the fucked up communities that these kids come from with no parents to guide you and no hope on any horizon? If you say that you would be the same... then you're a fucking liar...and nothing you will say in the future will make me pay one bit of attention to anything you say.

Of course I would be different.  But to say that there is no hope is false.  Do you know who might have a shot?  That kid whose mother bitchslapped him off the street.  He has at least one parent with a fucking brain.

Ah-fukin-men to that Zappa

This is that sweet moment in the thread, it feels it could use some optimism. Good job guys.

Protesters Claim Freddie Gray Victim of Baltimore 'Rough Ride'

They stopped and put him back in his seat, but did not see the need to buckle him in.  They have a catchy name for this abuse it happens so much, and police have already paid settlements for doing the same thing to other people.

Not sure where the shot in the back analogy applies here but...nobody was shot in this happening-occurence-event, and if he was under the assumption of doing something that would make him run from the athorities, then nab him.

Freddie Gray was arrested for legally carrying a switchblade, which makes the arrest illegal.

how can he legally carry a knife which is illegal to carry in the state of Maryland?

Attention everybody: The ACLU has recently just released an app that automatically sends any video you record to the organization, in the case that your phone gets "confiscated." The app is called "Mobile Justice."

Why are they saying it wasn't illegal then?

because a prosecutor is claiming it wasnt a switchblade, we havent seen or
examined the knife so we dont know what it was but according to the prosecutor
it wasnt an illegal knife and it was legal for freddie gray to be in possession
of the knife... what I'm seeing of the prosecutor is that she's kowtowing to
the media and the public

BUT

the cops had reasonable suspicion and were within the law to perform a terry
stop, the dumbass ran instead of staying put and letting the cops go through
the motions and then filing suit for harassment so he could retire from
dealing drugs

the cops did not have probable cause but they did have reasonable suspicion

No, there is no law that says you can be held without charges. That is expressly prohibited in the constitution. You can be held for 72 hours without charges BEING FILED before a judge. That is NOT the same thing as being held without charges.

That is exactly the sort of thing that cops love to lie about.  How much you want to bet that knife disappears from evidence or something  It's probably a folding knife they called a switchblade bcuz they're dumb.

There must be a probable cause to arrest someone. Good lord, Pris, the prosecutor said "the knife was not a switchblade" Case closed.

people are confusing "switchblades"(which are actually called automatic knives) with "assisted opening knives"

switchblades only need a button or switch

spring assist knives have locks, and require a little more effort to snap open, even though they are damn near the same as a switchblade. assisted openers dont have buttons or switches, they have "flippers" that are actually part of the blade, and once you push them past a certain point with the lock disengaged, they slam open like a switchblade.

this is a spring assisted knife http://www.bladehq.com/item--Zero-Tolerance-Hinderer-0566CF--24214

this is an automatic knife (aka switchblade) http://www.bladehq.com/item--Protech-TR-3-Tactical-Response--29325

they are differentiated in most states. a few might view them as the same, but i know for a fact that mine and alot of other states view them different. its perfectly legal to carry an assisted opening knife anywhere that a regular folder is legal

Quote:

Ms. Mosby faulted the police conduct at every turn. The officers who arrested him “failed to establish probable cause for Mr. Gray’s arrest, as no crime had been committed,” she said, describing the arrest as illegal. Officers accused him of possession of a switchblade, but Ms. Mosby said, “The knife was not a switchblade and is lawful under Maryland law."

Either the cops were lying about the knife, or they were just ignorant of the law.

Sounds like this guy was given a rough ride, where they don't put seatbelts on the arrestant and drive around like crazy people, trying to hurt him.
This happened before recently(?) in Alaska and Canada, I think, and is speculated to be the cause of several innuit deaths and dissapearances.

What do you think goes trough a man's mind when they decide to rough someone up like that? Are people who take pleasure in such things even human?
