How do you like these fruits? Can someone explain why they are in such small numbers?

I was wondering why the entire first flush of this cake consisted only of these two mushrooms, theoretically speaking, what conditions could have made this more likely to happen? Also, the mycelium seems to be crawling up onto the stem of the mushrooms, I believe I heard someone say that this is an indication of something (not sure what), can someone please elaborate?
Thanks in advance!
Edit; fixed the huge photo problem

Dude that picture is fucking huge.
Its genetics man You can't always expect an entire cake to be covered with mushies when using MS.
The fuzzy feet can possibly be a sign of lack of FAE.

Well, that´s a bloody shame, because let me tell you, I don´t grow for quantity, I grow for mushrooms that are aesthetically pleasing, and these two fellas may be the most beautiful I have ever grown. Thing is, friend of mine harvested them and ate them without my permission, so I can´t clone SHIT

Sometimes a cake will use up all its energy to produce a few big ones. Other times you'll get a bunch of smaller ones.

He is quite crazy, but a huge fan of the psychedelic experience. I never know what to do with my cubes so I give them to him, in this case i guess he figured he could take them since the veil was broken. I was mad but he's a good guy and I enjoy seeing him tripping balls almost every week so the hell with it.

So would you say one could INDUCE this phenomenon by providing certain conditions? To be honest I absolutely love seeing them like this, much more so than a large quantity of smaller mushrooms.
