The gross misuse of the word "junta"

jun?ta ( P ) Pronunciation Key (hnt, jn-) n. A group of military officers ruling a country after seizing power. A council or small legislative body in a government, especially in Central or South America.
This nation is not led by a "group of military officers", nor did they "seize power". If they had, the elections wouldn't be ocurring in a little under a year. If they stop the elections, start wearing military uniforms in their offical capacit, you can use this word. Until then, using it only demonstrates your dictionary-challenged mind. :-)

I know, these juntas don't know anything about what a junta really is. It really juntas the junta out of me. I wanna throw junta in their junta loving faces. Hey, remember that show "The Junta Bunch"? That one girl, Jan Junta was really cute. I loved it how she'd say, "Junta, Junta, Junta" whenever she was jealous of her older junta. Anyway, peace love and junta.

No need. They won by all the rules in place at the time of the election.

Actually it's true as has been shown several times, both law and the recounts which followed.
Now if you don't wish to accept that, fine. Be honest enough however to preface an obviously false statement with an "IMO".

No, the facts are that the Supreme Court overstepped its jurisdiction and justified it by a scewed interpretation of the Equal Protection Clause.

No, not false at all. If you think that some minor mistake was made in Florida that lead to Bush being elected, so be it. I don't see ANY proof of that, and a later hand count PROVED that Bush won (another "fact" that liberals like to blindly ignore). However, to compare that to the bloody coups and "juntas" of South America, Africa and the Middle East is a bit of an intellectual stretch.
Bush was elected fairly, wether you like it or not. Bush isn't preventing the elections from occuring or modifying them in a Saddam-esque way that would indicate a junta had taken place. Bush isn't executing or maiming his political opponents a la Arafat. You might not like how he got in power, but it certaintly wasn't a junta.
And bush and blair have no offical relationship, and you haven't said anything about how BLAIRs election was a "junta". A Junta isn't a combination of rulers of DIFFERENT nations, it is the leadership of one nation.
This is a very effective and descriptive politically savvy word you are using, but you are definatly misusing it.

Don't need to as it's not just my opinion. I've posted the proof in previous threads where you were as wrong then as you are now. You were unable to provide evidence to support your claim then, if you can do so now feel free.
When you can, let me know. Until then this is pointless so feel free to add yet another..... "did so."

One hand count doesnt "PROVE" anything...let alone that the recount that counted would have yielded the same result...at issue is the fact that by stopping that recount..the SCOTUS (rhymes w/ "scrotum") illegally ruled the outcome of the election...and the mere fact that they did so proves that Gore would have won the FL recount..which still had a long way to go..when 80% of Bush's lead had disappeared...

Weak. If I told you how many times I tripped I'm sure you'd not believe me. Why? Because it's not on some wacko web site or even simply because it's not an I hate Bush comment.
But if a mushroom related comment is the best you can do...... you go right on.

any count that proves that may have proven bush won is irrelevant when you consider the fact that they (Katherine Harris and the independent voting contractor with strong repbulican ties) purged around 50,000 voters from the polls before the election.
the vast majority of which just happened to be registered democrats.
Maybe the minorities still won't be smart enough to figure them out. If we had some sitting in circuit city, they could steal them and learn for a few months?
And maybe we can have pictures so that Jose, Mohammed and Kunta-Kinte can see who they are voting for?
how can you even try to defend statements like these as abstract thought or non-racist?

Surely you mean "'any count that proves that may have proven EITHER won is irrelevant.
And how many votes have to be counted or discounted because of judges who allowed polling places to remain open post the legally set closing time?
How many didn't vote when the networks declared a winner in Florida before the polls had closed in the panhandle area?
How many fraudulent votes in areas where more people voted than actually lived in them?
How about polling places where you need no ID to vote?
The point being you can argue all you'd like about what MAY have happened. However all that matters is what did. Bush won by the rules in place at the time. He is the President. Since no better candidate has announced.... he most likely will be again.

Rono - I'm still waiting for a definition of the word racism that you'll use to ban, not only me, but anyone that violates it. With the definition that you provide, I'll keep a sharp watch out for ANY violation thereof, and I'll notify you of it immediately. If you can't be fair about it, I really can't do anything other than bring my complaint to _3d, since I am not a moderator. I'd hope that you'd practise a bit of fairness.

Here are 2 rules that I would like all of you to observe.
1) NO FLAMING ...if you can't state your case or refute someone elses case without calling them "stupid" or an "idiot"..etc...Then don't bother posting here. This forum is for intelligent debate, not to try to belittle someone that doesn't think like you. THIS WILL BE STRICTLY ENFORCED ... If you have been warned already, you will receive a temporary ban, if you continue to flame you will be banned permanently...choose your words wisely or suffer the consequences.
2) Although not always possible, when quoting a source please provide a link.
I don't see anything there about making up rules as you go, or about "racism" being something that is a bannable offense. I'm going to send a message to _3d and see what his take on this is. While I'm doing that, how about you put on some man-balls and answer my questions?
1) What is a working definition of racism?
2) Will you enforce that rule among others, or is it your own little PATRIOT act, to be used against whom you want, when you want?

If you want the mods to make more forum rules...and get very specific with them, we will gladly do so...In my opinion, people like you, that feel it is their right to propogate racism, ruin the forum for the rest of us...and force the mods to make more rules that were previously unneccesary. I suspect that you won't be around much longer anyways...feel free to speak with 3D if you like. Since I also suspect that you are a puppet of an already banned member of this community, we'll see how this turns out.... I gave you a simple warning to not use racism here...if you want to cry about it...so be it.

Certaintly. I'd like rules that apply to everyone. I could go back and bring up all the posts that are against the "rich white people" and ask why your communist cowardly self didn't ban nor threaten them? I'd assume that you'd fail to answer just like you've failed to answer my other questions. You'd be a great frenchman, running from the battle as you always seem to do. 3d has been spoken with.

That looks suspiciously like a flame to me...which ARE in the forum rules... Quote:

Do you mean like when you were under the user name Johnny_Respect and were asked to back up your opinion that the PATRIOT act was a good thing?....then ran away? Careful who you call out junior... You can't even follow the only 2 rules we have in this forum, yet you ask that I make more....bye bye...
