Hey guys I just wanted to share a great site for animated weather projections! I use this bad boy in my oceanography course at uni and it's just great to play around with.
Check it out! http://earth.nullschool.net/#current/wind/surface/level/orthographic=-88.21,44.37,568
You can change what you want to look at by pressing the Earth Icon in the bottom left corner

Yeah, thanks OP.
If I find myself awake at 00:48 am, during the BBC's (radio 4's) 'shipping forecast', It'll be interesting to see a visual representation of the storms raging around the UK's coast.
The "shipping forecast" Is like a lullabye, it gives you such a feeling of cosyness, lying in your safe and warm bed with the wind howling outside and feeling for the poor sods that may be caught up in those sees.
Here, have a listen> the actual forecast starts at ~ 1:20 after the music.
A map of the sea areas referred to in the forecast.>

This is indeed too cool.
