Help! is it possible to transfer a psilocybe subaeruginosa patch
    #21607100 - 04/28/15 12:54 AM (9 years, 22 days ago)

Hi all not sure if this is correct forum to post but thought id give it a go. I have a trusty psilocybe subaeruginosa patch that has fruited in mass faithfully for a couple of years now however to my shock horror they have now started construction in this area and are going to dig up and destroy the entire mulch garden my beauties sprout from. I was wondering if there is a way i can transfer the woodchip to my backyard successfully or will transfering it kill the mycelium totally? Any help would be much appreciated thanks

Awesome thanks mate will have to do it soon. The spot is currently fruiting heavily as well will this stop it from fruiting until next season?

I don't know. But a few friends of mine exchange woodloving psilocybe species mycelium all the time and they have no problems.

I'd take a wood chip home and clean it up on some agar > spawn to sawdust > wood chip patch.

Unless you don't mind damaging an already existing healthy patch. Just sayin...

I really don't want to touch it at all i want to leave it as it has been so reliable however they are going to destroy the entire patch and build where it is so i have to do something to try save it. Was thinking move to my backyard but how safely with as little damage as possible?

Mycelium can survive quite a beating. You should be fine transferring it. I think it'd be good to provide some more wood chips.
