Thanks man. Yeah I think it will be WAY more rewarding after all the searching I've been doing. What's funny is both of these areas I've checked countless times. Following your habitat advise specifically. I even went to your neck of the woods (no pun intended) a couple times to hunt with no luck. After all of that I find them damn near in my own back yard! It's almost as if they found me!

That's some beautiful Amanita persicina. (The peach colored fly agaric) you can read more about it here
If you haven't experimented with amanitas then you'd better read plenty of credible info on it. It's not psilocybin containing so it's nothing like psilocybes.

Man... So bummed! I'm I south GA for a few days, Colquitt Co. I drive some muddy roads today and think I saw some nice cubes but was afraid to jump the fence, I'm not young anymore. I may go back tomorrow. I did open one gate and cow patties were full of shrooms but absolutely no staining. CRAP! I used Google Earth and the place I drove by today doesn't have any houses too close so I may go for it. Back to NW GA in a few days and I really want to find done Weillii. I have been walking the woods for the last month but only found others, non-active. It's been about 40 years since I tasted the shrooms and I'm ready. All this 1.5gm and 6gm... we never did that. We always (well me anyway) ate them fresh until it felt like one more swallow and it was all coming back up, that or pick enough to fill a 10# ice bag, simmer them and make electric koolade! It worked great but was nothing like real acid. I think folks who get more CEVs from shrooms never had any good pure acid but I digress. I'm trying and will keep at it. Maybe will have some pictures tomorrow or at least soon. It is very wet here.

Lets be clear it was not growing on the hill I just put it there to illustrate how small it is and the fact I still found it. I think my spot is at the later end of the 10 year old disturbed areas so its not flushing so hard at this spot. I am going to find a new spot right away whith these 2 warm days.

Congrats man, good work there! Those are good looking fruits too, very fresh. Looks like you found them at the absolute perfect time. Have you had weilii before? If not, be careful they are (in my experience) very potent in a strange way. They surprise me often, even after many experiences.

So, do you think Weilii are done for the year? I've picked cubes when it was below 40 degrees F? Are Weillii less cold tolerant? I'll be back in Bartow county next week, will I be wasting my time if I go looking? I sure hope not. Getting desperate.

Love the success that you all are having this year. I'm a noob hunter so I'm still learning but have gotten a lot of exercise walking this season! I'll probably gain 10 pounds when the season ends

There is a difference in being done and slimming I do NOT think they will be done till later. I had 3 expert mushroom foragers with me and only found that little baby in a KNOW weilii area.

First time with Weilii. Haven't eaten mushrooms in over five years either.. Although I have been known to smoke DMT on occasion! I think I'm going to eat a few of the bigger ones, which will probably be about 3 grams dry. Maybe smoke some deemsters an hour or so after I peak. Whatever feels right. Wish me luck!
Anyways.. I found a few more today and ANOTHER spot! I guess once you know where to look it comes a lot easier. In my very limited experience, all three spots I've found had trees no taller than 10 feet indicating that the ground had been disturbed anywhere from 3 to 7 years prior. Two of three spots had Lacrymaria Lacrymabunda (sp?) and all had other gregarious mushrooms very close by. The trees are an indicator to the recent disturbance, but if you didn't already know... You can download google earth on your computer and see the archives of old satellite images.. Hint hint wink wink! Also, almost every one I've found has been from me stoping to look at another type of mushroom. They are usually much less conspicuous than the surrounding fungi. Here are some pictures from today, as well as a habitat shot and a lacrymabunda for reference. Now let's keep our fingers crossed for another flush!
Notice that this island of new growth is very small. I've been searching the woods behind it for two years with no luck... Disturbance is key! This is right along an access road used to haul supplies to a constuction site about 5 years ago.

OnlineLalaloveyou Them is probably lacrymabunda. If I am way off kiss my asses. Go back read beginning of post about id requests. But literally everyone makes an id request here. So its human nature ish especially because everyone who hunts weiili is very close together.

yah sorry when i was walking up to them i got excited because of the clusters and shape and i thought maybe they were just old and dried out. but after looking closer i figured they werent good, just wanted to make sure. the mushrooms under the clusters were totally black with the above shroom's spore-print. lack of finding weilii madness i guess lool atleast it was enjoyable to find
