Same county here!  There's a spot that is about 5-10 minutes from me that is a rather large golf course and tbh it has already shown signs of promise for weilii.  and I got some fields mapped out to the west of me by like 20-30 minutes.  I thought about allatoona pass but it seems like it might be slightly wrong habitat until you lookin specifically for weilii / loblolly pine cause I never got an id on it  but i'm pretty sure i found some weilii around allatoona 2 years ago.  they were pretty deteriorated by then tho.

You wouldnt be talking about the golf course off 61 would you?? And yeah thats where Ive been searching in Allatoona pass, but Ive had no luck :/

let's take this to pm so we don't spam the thread/get it closed :P

Ill take some pictures in a few days to contribute to this thread guys!

I know this isn't an active, but it has me curious. Anyone know the name? Saw it the other day in the woods when I was leaving the cow field.

I dont know the name but I found a similar looking mushroom growing in the Cohutta forest while on acid last August and I've always wanted to know what kind it is, if anyone can Id it?

Like I said if anyone knows the name, please let me know. I understand this isn't an ID thread, but one post isn't going to fill the thread up. Plus you haven't even contributed to this thread yet -_-

Love seeing a Georgia actives thread and will be following and possibly contributing to this thread as well! Awesome finds and gives me hope for a prosperous cubensis season. I had some amazing hauls up until a couple years ago and then I couldnt find one if my life depended on it.

I live right next to that golf course. Been eyeballing it for a while and with the rain today it looks like it might be time to go play a round or two in the next couple of days. I'm new to GA (and the shroomery incidentally, fantastic site btw amazing amount of info on here) so it will be my first time hunting here. I'll be mainly hunting for weilii but it seems that cubes and p cinct/subb may be prevelant in the area. I'll keep everyone updated!

I am glad to see that the forum is getting a fair amount of attention. I understand that it is still early in our season. Keep up the activity and thanks for being a part of our Georgia thread!

Hello everyone! Went out to the field about 11 a.m. Cubes galore. Biggest haul this season, so far. 838 wet. Farmer spotted me! Had to get out of there. Plenty more though.

Happy hunting!

Very nice finds, once again! I can not wait for my yields to look good again. I took another trip to the field this morning and it was still saturated. :/ Hopefully they come in strong after it finally dries up. I am only able to find them growing on the hills that run through the middle of the field that I visit. Another small yield, today.

Are you hunting in the day or night? I can seem to find any pastures that look safe to be in during the day, too many cars around...

Daytime. The pasture is right of a major highway, so I just get in and get out. I try not to spend over an hour in there. The farmer has like 5 big fields so he is busy most of the time
