Laziness.
Lack of privacy.
Because of these two factors, I could not sterilize. Its okay now though, because I have found a possible way around CONTAMS! I also found a way to speed up colonization!
materials needed:
SOIL
ALCOHOL SWABS
SPORE SYRINGE OR COLONIZING MYCELIUM
TUPPERWARE
WATER BOTTLE
Just like the mushrooms in soil tek you say? WRONG. There is something different here. The secret is RUNNING WATER.
- Grab your tupperware and sterilize it with your alcohol or alcohol swab (CVS-$3).
- Jam some soil in there loosely.
- INNOCULATE!!! (I used mycelium from a birdseed "cake" that had a contam on the other side)
- Make a little hole in the dirt and pour the water down!
WHAT HAPPENS YOU SAY?
My belief states that the water spreads the mycelium! This was proven by the fact that the next day faint mycelium had covered the sides and the bottom of the tupperware!!

I doubt this will fruit, and it can't be used for spawn because it is way to unsterile. So you grew some thin mycelium... you could probably innoculate your bathroom rug bathroom rug too. It still doesn't do you any good. Nice try though.

and putting mycelium in dirt doesnt mean it will colinize, it sounds like you are making a casing , but that you are REALLY young
Look man I live with my parents to, but I am poor and HAD TO move back here and my parents are 100% cool with what I am doing , if yours arent , dont do it.
Hell share the stove sometimes, MOM making dinner and me PCing some jars!!!
