What is the biggest insight you have gained from DMT (about life)?

Something you feel is inherently true and could not be attributed to mere hallucination (or delusion).

The first realization I had after smoking dmt is that humanity doesn't know anything. We all like to pretend we have this place all figured out but 30 seconds into the dmt flash you soon realize no one knows anything about our predicament. Another realization I get everytime I smoke is that the place I go to is some how very familiar. Like I have been there countless times before. This makes no sense but somewhere deep down in my being recognizes these realms. It sure made me look at reincarnation with a new perspective.

Did you really have to take DMT to realize that?

I've learned a lot more from mushrooms than dmt, but they're so similar I feel like I would've learned the same things had I done dmt first. I've gone to the exact same place on both, and had pretty similar experiences with both. I think it felt more "real" on mushrooms though because it wasn't such an amnesiac flash. I was able to stay a while and take it in (sort of)
I think overall, It showed me the incredible power of the mind/spirit.

If you learned anything specific I'd really like to know what that was. It seems so often (as expressed above), that DMT and mushrooms have a way of showing you how little you truly know.
It concerns me a little because whilst that fact can distract you from your current problems, it should ultimately lead to a massive backlog of existential questions (that need answering). - Possibly negating any short-term benefits.

That feeling of dejavu is normal. It is probably because we forget most of the experience seconds after the trip and remember everything once back in.

DMT changed the way I thought about death. I cannot describe how mysterious I find DMT and hyperspace. What the fuck is hyperspace is why do we not know anything about it? I've been in contact with alients several times and I am sure it is not a hallucination. So there is SOMETHING for sure. We just don't know what it is. I believe hyperspace is the place we go after death and the aliens we encounter are simply dead souls. It made me experience what It feels like to be dead in the other side.

My main insight is that the universe and our consciousness is infinitely more strange than can even be fathomed.

Have you tried Ayahuasca? Caapi and ACRB has been a lot more grounding for me than smoked DMT.
i.e. I'm more okay with not having all my existential questions answered since drinking Ayahuasca.
Also here's some specific insights from Ayahuasca. Not sure I'd say any of these are big, they're kinda common sense.
It's okay to lose myself in my imagination, I won't go crazy.
It's okay not to take everything so literally.
Don't judge people based on a single frame of reference, rather that's a song or a picture, you don't know what was going on with them in that moment.
It's natural to judge, but do so with compassion.
It's okay to be skeptical (smoked DMT + Syrain Rue).
Both of the above are normal defense mechanisms.
There may be a giant pink and yellow anaconda serving as my spirit guide. I think she lives in my freezer.
Pride is a mother fucker! (The one I'm still working on haha)
