I was all proud of my score and now I've been knocked down to sub par

In my defense I was drunk when I took the test, so that could have something to do with it.

And fuckin Enlil cheated. His score is ridiculous!

Isn't that cheating?

And does that also mean 142 iq is the highest? Test fail what if you're Einstein and you have 200 iq does the test blow up?

I was smoking 10 blunts and curing cancer while solving world hunger and starting my own charity when I took the test. Plus I downed a whole liter of vodka and saved a bunch of somolian kids from drowning and I still got a 122.

would the person making the IQ test in the first place, presumably, have to be smarter than the persons he or she is making the test for, in order to have a conclusive quantification rather than a predilection for a certain age group or bracket otherwise, that the test was designed for?

Short answer: no. Long answer will come via internet or when drugs I'm on wear off.

Im on a lot of xanax. read the above as you should have done more independent research before asking an inebriated person to accurately describe the psychometric process of quantifying an individuals fluid intelligence. Read, research.

yeah, i already know what those phrases mean. i asked a simple question, and using some simple deductive reasoning; if you're knowledgeable, you should be able to accurately tell me why my reasoning for the question is faulty.

it should be easy. PS: i didn't know you were inebriated and i didn't necessarily ask you. afterall, Enlil is the highest on this list. a simple "no, because..." and answer, would suffice. no need to make it an essay on how wrong i am.

PPS: offended much when people question your IQ test that your friend or whomever made? because i think that's kinda unhealthy. oh and the Hemingway quote, that's... oh boy, it's just too funny. i'm listening, broo. i'm waiting for your reasoned response, when you, ya know... get of the Xannies.

let me re-phrase:

if the person who created the test one is taking has an IQ of 140, for example, and the person who is taking the test gets a higher score, can that test be considered to give an actual and accurate quantification of an IQ score? wouldn't the person making the test have to prepare the test for people to potentially be smarter than him or her, to make a realistic deduction? and if so, wouldn't that test maker have to be intelligent enough to make a test that is more intelligent than he or she has proposed for his or her self? and is that even possible?

109 - 119

Once I couldn't recognize patterns by just looking I did more guessing than trying to work them out

I'd be interested in taking one of those super legit IQ tests, but that seems a bit douchey...Its cool for a contest like this, but when in real life would your IQ score ever come up without you sounding like a tool?

Yes, the result can be considered accurate. Yes, he/she would/does. No, mathematics can be used, specifically matrices. The test that I PMd everyone had visual representations of mathematical permutations, figuring out the permutation by guessing the next result of a function resulted in the test "adding points" to your IQ range. The test maker only needed a sample of the population to norm the test, which Xavier has done... with 11,000+ people. I'll go into more detail tomorrow when i wake up.

This test is as about as accurate as the Stanford Binet.

That was insane.  I do those sorts of matrix things pretty often when programming UI stuff, and my brain pretty much gave out when i saw question 32.  It still took me like 50 minutes :frown:

enil how long did you spend on this?  are you a legit genius because I mean like, once you saw the pattern it was easy, but after the first 20 or so holy fuck that escalated quickly

also i went back to check it again, and there seems to be a varying number of questions, probably depending on how you're doing.

Neither am I...I'm legitimately curious what the practical uses of an IQ test are. I got my score, now what exactly does it mean besides "high average"?

so the test can be considered accurate to what degree? what's the "best" IQ test available? what does it mean when one takes a lesser IQ test and scores the same as someone who's taken a greater IQ test? what is the quotient there?

Quote:

The test maker only needed a sample of the population to norm the test

so high IQ scores are due to comparisons to normal ones?
