There is a chance that they wont grow in the same place again. Picking mushrooms/walking over patches really damages the mycelium.

not really.  Psilocybe subaeruginosa mycelium is tough as nails.

have you seen that pic of mycelium in mycelium running.

pulling it up and exposing it does damage it, ive seen many patches ruined by people just ripping the mushrooms out.

but some sites only have the one flush in them, especially if its a nutrient poor area.

Agree with Obtuse - this species is brutishly tenacious.

P. subaeruginosa loves hardwoods, especially Eucalypt chip and associated detritus, i.e leaves and bark.  will grow on acacia, eucalypt even pine, fern stems.

Its a fairly agressive species, will try to grow on any wood based product in my experience.

I believe I read earlier in this thread that it is a legal requirement that all sprays have a dye in them. Often pink?

Look through the first 5 or so pages, there was a pic of some sprayed tanbark.

Yes they whole area was sprayed a light green colour, interesting enough I went to another nearby park straight after and found another 5-6 mushrooms, couldn't eat them because the council had left signs around saying the area had also been sprayed.

Seems the south east suburbs are being consistent this season, but are people generally talking 'far' s.e. suburbs?

yes i seen that post but since i never seen it with my own eyes i didn't think it was legal requirement, then today went to my biggest patch from last year and half the place has been sprayed with red/pink dye around edges. i didn't see any dye near my patch directly but i'm guessing whole place been done :frown:

Found my first finds today.... will try and get a sexy picture when they mature a bit more.... Near me the sides of tracks have been sprayed and then have been covered in mulch... Be careful, can't see the pink under the mulch

Just went for a walk through some parks, ending up with ~15 subs. Left a fair few to keep growing. Also saw a lot of the redlead's about.

Hello All. I found these today in the NW ranges. I only took these few and left the other 15 or so to grow and flourish.

All of those are subs. Nice specimens!

Nice pics so far, y'all. I'm still yet to spot a sub this year.
