tiny green dot?

I started out with 5 jars and now down to 3 because 2 wouldn't grow mycelium over the water that leaked inside during sterilization. With the 1 perfect cake I have with no water, I have discovered a very, very small sort of green looking dot, not spot, but spec on the uncovered portion of the cake. If I took a pic of it you would not see it because it is so tiny. But idk if it's an infection, or if the lighting makes the cake look like that when angled just right but will it grow bigger if it is infected? Because I honestly cannot tell due to it's tiny size but I want to hear what you guys think and whether or not I should wait to find out for sure. I bought the B+ spore. What will happen if the cake fruits mushrooms when it's contaminated? Will I know it's contaminated? Would I die if I eat them?

If it is a contam and not just a spec of verm or something the jar will explode with it soon. Keep an eye on the spot if it starts growing pitch it. Did you follow a tek to the "T" for your grow? If not do some searching and follow a tek exactly how it is worded. And you will succeed!

From the sound of things, this grow was probably doomed from the beginning. You can mark the jar with a sharpie and see if it grows over the next 24-48 hours.

I had to do the sterilization and inoculation in my car because I couldn't do it anywhere else. The holes I poked into the jars were too small so I had to open them up exposed to all sorts of contaminants. But that was 2 weeks ago and they've been doing fine since except 2 that drowned during sterilization.

In your car? Why do you have to do it in your care?

I had to because my dad would have found it in the apartment because he's smart and works for the government. He found my weed once and busted my ass so for the shrooms I keep them outdoors in a backpack. I used a camp stove and propane tank in the trunk to sterilize the jars but the substrate was mixed up inside the car. I know that was ultra risky to do, and one jar got infected while 2 had water leaked into them. 3 jars remain, 2 of which have water of part of their surface. Those cakes have grown fast but can't seem to grow over the portion with water. The last one, in perfect shape, is also growing quickly but still has that green spec underneath the glass. It hasn't grown bigger I don't think by the looks of it, I just checked this morning.

Damn dude. You couldn't find another way? Like maybe a camp ground, a park, or something. I dont know, I have never heard of someone cooking in there car, unless its meth. But at any rate, I wish you the best of luck man.

Maybe an outdoor grow would be better for your situation?
Your dad sounds like he sucks. No offense.

Yeah, they're colonizing indoors right now but by next week the jar with the green spec will be ready for the terrarium. I just checked the cakes today and that green spec isn't visible anymore. The mycelium covered it and the rest of the jar looks in tip top shape. I figured I would have seen the contam grow by now if it really was one but it actually might not be. And yeah my dad gets on my nerves about weed and shrooms lol
