Indeed. Your mom is a remarkable lady. Treat her well - she deserves it.
Love my mom all though we get into Spatz every once and a while. But I have no clue how she did it after we went to wealthy to poor. I'm 24 and have no kids which is a blessing. As I've made some pretty questionable calls in my day.

Poor people on the other hand don't even know how much their parents make per year... Somehow saying how much money you make is either shameful or arrogant, well it's taboo...
Let's flip that shit around.
How much do you make per year? What is your net worth? Where is your cash invested and why? How much debts do you have? What's the plan to pay them? At what age did money really start coming in? Etc...
And? Is this going to be like the Patlal "post your photo" thread wherein he never posts his own?[/quote
I make roughly 40k Net worth: I'd say anywhere between 100k - 150k. Invetments: My house only Debts: My mortgage is at around 200k Plan to pay debts: I let my roommates pay them for me. Age money started coming in: 23
Technically speakng, if I decided to get an actual job, I'd be pulling in close to 100k a year based on the jobs I'm qualified for but the 9 to 5 life for the next 30 years as absolutely no appeal to me whatsoever.

I only owe for my two vehicals which is around 30k left to pay
I'm building a house hopefully within the year which I think will cost like 450k
I haven't really invested but my 401K I guess is an investment.
In the bank I have a little under 20k
So I have like 50k in my 401k and 20k in my roth. I put 2% into my roth to pay off anything I need to pay off still once I retire, roth is post-tax meaning no tax penalty when I want to pull it out. I put 8% into my 401k which my employer puts it 4%. I haven't worked at this company but 2 years, my old company didn't match much of the 401k
What do you do?
I work on powerlines.

You fuckers aren't going to believe this. Started a business when I was sixteen and slowly made it into a premier bitcoin exchange. The last few weeks of highschool I was making over 40k USD a day in revenue. I quit because my bank accounts were getting red flagged (and frozen) for suspicious activity due to the illegal bitcoin exchange I was running. I closed up shop was left with about 100k in profit, I probably could have sold my business but I didn't know how to go about doing it... there was no paperwork filed with the state or anything.
I then invested 30k USD into an alternate cryptocurrency (NXT, December 7th 2013) I researched and my net worth went up to about 500k USD (didn't cash out, like an idiot) off that. I traveled the world and blew through about 250k, then I lost about 180k because the crypto currency I invested in crashed. For the past eight months or so I've been a casual safe investor and have been teaching myself java, php, javascript, python etc... Presently I'm left with a decent chunk of change to live off of for about a year, but not lavishly or anything. Right now I'm trying to work my way back to six figures, I just started an anonymous hosting and software development company.
So... yeah, believe it or not, that's my financial history. Who knows where I'll be in a few months.

I make 55k a year. Car is paid off, so is my student loan. I owe 155k on my house. I'm living in the house by myself, but hopefully I'll have someone soon living here to help pay for it. I've got a 401k but I've only had it for 3 years. I'm pretty happy with where I am for being 27.

I'm 32 on 50k a year, I own 2 new vehicles and have a good enough amount of money in the bank. We are moving to Oregon and either buying a home or just building our own (or both and sell the first). I've got a substantial amount of funds in gold, silver, and some palladium as a hedge against inflation. I keep $XXk cash with 2.5x that in metals "readily" accessible for emergency situations. We have a 35k credit line but now only use the cards for air miles and 3% cash back while building credit, which at this point sits at 770's.

Money became a hot button issue with my friends because I've been offered jobs like the military and desk jobs but I usually will not stay with jobs that make me fucking hate my life. I learned you can support yourself without taking every shit job that comes your way. Not that I'm above doing a minimum wage job but it really depends on how happy I am. When I'd make a lot of money dealing as a kid I had to worry about guns, fights being jumped. It would be easier now but I wouldn't be "happy" doing that either.
