I just birthed some cakes and 1 of those look disgusting. See pics. Any comments appreciated  I will also include 1 jar here that started fruiting but not fully colonized O_O

Looks like bacteria. If you birth it remove all that uncolonized substrate.

You can birth that cake that didn't fully colonize, and then just wash off the uncolonized portion as best as you can. It looks like that cake didn't fully colonize because of either a bacterial contamination or it was too wet/compacted, or both.

I removed that bad little shroomies and other stuff from 1st one and left it to soak in the water. Will do the same for that uncolonozed as well tomorrow. Hopefully they will be fine  Thanks for your replies!
