Purpose and meaning of life discussion

Does life have meaning?
Is the purpose just to survive with no other purpose than to exist and survive?
To earn money to pass on to your decendants and die?
Is the purpose of life to know God?
To be of service to your fellow creature while reverencing your creator?
To escape the bonds of samsara?
Please explain your views on the meaning of life. How does it give you fulfillment or comfort? Or lack thereof?

I believe it's all up to the individual experiencing life to define and manifest purpose.
It is where predestiny and free will unite. The whole time the individual "chooses". At the end of the show the individual recounts. Since time isn't real, the whole time is now. It is both predestined and freely chosen. This, connectedly fractals into everyone/everything, to reveal universal meaning. Too bad we can't see the entire fractal because it's infinite in all directions
This, personally, gives me comfort because the meaning of my experience is up to me the whole time.
It's not all peachy in life/the world. So I must accept that my free will is equal to my predestiny, and that of the entire fractal.

First of all believe there is meaning, there is purpose behind everything.

Always enjoy your posts quite a bit, Universal
To quote it simply by Bill Waterson:

I think the purpose of life is to pursue the ends and means of meaning itself. For example, it is very meaningful to living creatures, emotionally, to stay alive. That is not the only avenue of potential meanings however, the number of which could be infinite. I think meaning is a fundamental by-product of sentience and consciousness, and I further contend that one day there will probably be a science of meaning, as an offshoot of psychology, I suppose.
Everything you listed could have different meanings for different people. Those could all, potentially, be the meaning of existence for different souls. I don't see any reason to limit the potentiality of meaning.

Very good, Divided. :-)
When I was a young sapling, I was pondering the meaning of life -- whether there was meaning, to be more precise -- and suddenly I realized, there was meaning; and then there was meaning within that meaning, so essentially, infinite meaning.
