help identifying dried mushrooms
    #21550778 - 04/15/15 11:53 AM (9 years, 1 month ago)

Having difficulties with the forum from a mobile. I hope i didnt double post this thread. These shrooms are really dry and difficult to ID. They are brown and have stems about 1 - 3 inches long. They have a musky odor. Thanks in advance.

That's never promising. Probably just going to toss them... sad, was really looking forward to my first shrooms experience.

They dont look like any dried cubes ive ever seen:wowjustwow:
if they are cubes they are the most fucked up cubes ive ever seen. I wouldn't eat those just to be on the safe side. Do some research and grow your own then your 100% to have the real deal.

The caps show a little similaritie to cube caps but I still would not call those cubensis. Looks like some one went out side found the closest LBM and dried them out to sell to this poor guy.

My vote is for not eating them, they are either not cubes or have been incorrectly dried. Not worth the gamble.

Toss em to be safe, before they toss you.  There's not a lot clear about those and they look improperly dried.

The stem looks like a dried out terd to me:shrug:
Some random shroom a guy picked, dried out and sold to make a quick buck to this dude. Doesn't look like any thing to me that is active but I have been known to be wrong. Bottom line I wouldn't risk eating them.

I find all the thickest, beefyst stems coming from Wood lovers, or dung lovers, over soil or leaf litter loving shrooms.

I am making assumptions. At no point should anyone listen to my assumptions.
