Please help identify these 2 types
    #21547647 - 04/14/15 06:19 PM (9 years, 1 month ago)

The smaller brown ones were growing in tree bark (stump).

The white ones were on the ground under a tree.

1st one is maybe a Psathyrella, I don't know they are in such bad shape.

2nd one is an Amanita.

Yeah I found the first ones in a rotten tree stump. The caps were sooo wet it was crazy. I also found some inky caps I think. And those big white ones. What I really want to know is. Does any of these look edible?? I know little to nothing about shroom hunting but I thought I would give it a try.

I've eaten those pluteus before, but they are pretty fragile, and don't cook well.
They kinda taste like wood too:lol:
I personally would try again, and toss all that:thumbup:

I'm really trying to find the MAGIC mushroom. I really have no interest in eating them for food lol. Also, what are the odds that a mushroom is poisonous?? I swear last night after handling the blue purple ones I picked my nose. And I could have swore I had some small closed eye visuals

Well,I have no interest in eating magic mushrooms, and I only eat edible ones,so I can't help you there.
I will tell you that if you want magic you need to look in livestock fields for best results:thumbup:

where to start, grasshopper...

the odds i hear, about any mushroom being anything is 76%.  I have this on good authority.  a doctor said so in fact. maybe 3 out of four doctors would. who knows.
So, by extension, three times (roughly) out of four, the mushroom in your hand is possibly poisonous to eat.  or maybe its three times out of four its not poisonous.  He'll have to clear that one up.

I would say, on no authority whatsoever, unless you thouroughly cooked them, 100% of your collection is in such sad state of decomposition that you'd be really rolling the dice as to which end it shoots out of first after you'd eat them.  My grammar may suffer here, as my incredulity grows.

because, i can't believe you picked your nose after handling those mushrooms.  those visuals are probably the fungus gnat-zombie larvae burrowing into your brain after getting a free ride under your fingernails.

DIDN'T ANYONE WARN YOU ABOUT THE ZOMBIE GNATS??
