ID Request New Zealand

Habitat: In grass on someones front lawn Gills: no gills visible
Stem: thick and pure white. Cap: White and folding inwards underneath, no gills visible
Spore print color: None observed or taken
Bruising: None
Other information: They were big mushrooms.

These guys were peculiar, I don't recall seeing much like them before. I get it that they may not be identifiable from these photos but maybe someone wants to have a go. I should have ripped a cap open to see inside...

Looks to be an immature Agaricus sp.
Wait for them to mature. Observe any colour reaction once scratched and take note of its odour. Report back

It is spelled odor, not odour. Did you get brainwashed / attacked by British people?

They totally did not strike me as being that! I have to go back and confirm now. I mean, I wasn't taking the piss by posting this, they looked genuinely weird.

Pretty sure it's the same as 'colour' etc, the u is used in England and not in America. If I were to trust one of these two, I'd probably choose the one that invented the language

He identifies himself as a giant Kauri tree. He may have Phytophthora taxon Agathis attacking his faculties. Go easy on him.

Seems someone got shitty that I got the id in before them.
And keep using that imperial system to measure stuff too.

HEY! According to Bruce Cathie (Deceased) the imperial system is an harmonically tuned system of measurement. If Bruce said that then it is as good as gospel.
