Sorry man I don't believe you one bit when you say "I agree.. we should never attempt to stop it.." simply because you followed that up with "But we're building up a FAW so we needed this info.."

Well why don't you put something in your FAQ about making sure you take a proper dose in the proper setting so you don't have to worry about trying to "stop" it - you don't seem to care.

In my opinion, ESPECIALLY if you are making an FAQ, you shouldn't portray mushrooms as something you can treat like this - just take them when and wherever and however much, and if it gets too strong and you don't think you can handle it, just run off and take some xanax or whatever instead of dealing with what you have done to yourself.

I just think that telling people how to stop a mushroom trip in an FAQ gives them several wrong ideas about the substance.... maybe put something about "for accidental doses only" or somethin

i agree. i think thats why its called an experience. you can't just stop an experience when you want to or have it go the way you want.

what happens, happens.
thats why i still haven't shroomed. dont know if im ready for it yet. I do plan on trying a level 1 or 2 trip soon. but for bigger levels i will only try that when my mind is truly together and such.

I thank you for your advice....we are all begginers here we need this experience of yours to spread good information abut mushrooms, just like @ the Shroomery. I?ll do what you said: I?ll put a title of something like "What to do if something wrong happens", inside the Psychedelic FAQ.

When I was buying shrooms in Amsterdam, the people in the smartshop told me to avoid sugar and vitamin C during the trip, as this would supposedly stop the trip.

Is there any truth in this? I haven't seen this mentioned anywhere else, and yes it does sound strange...anyway it helped me come down from my first bad trip, (though that was probably just the placebo effect).

you cant stop being drunk either... if you drink coffee or shower you may feel a little better, but you wont actaully be any less drunk. just same them till you are somewhere where you wouldnt need to stop them.....

why would you waste a trip stressing out if someone is going to catch you? seems like a crummy way to have a trip imo.

Thorazine is a tranquilizer, it doesnt stop the trip, it stops you from being able to do anything. It's not a good way to end a trip.

Probably placebo indeed.  It's funny because I often hear how vitamin C will increase the intensity of a trip :tongue:

It's just unfounded speculation.  Minor/major tranq's are your best bet if you must calm a trip.

It's something having to do with the trip partially caused by psilocine depleting sugar supply in brain so avoiding sugar is believed by some to help have a stronger journey and taking sugar is thought to decrease the strength of the experience,  how much this has been studied I do not know.

But, since it's here...

Heat affects the magic, yes? Can't cook a pizza with cubes on it and expect to go anywhere.

Would drinking hot soup/coffee/tea do anything? Hot shower?

When I travel, I always seem to feel cold. I've no idea why.

I've read that hot showers with the water running over your head has helped some people calm down though I do not know if this is a placebo or not and if it actually works it'd  be nice if someone chipped in on the biological reaction taking place that may or may not cause this.

I've taken a shower once after the height of a high peak, and it felt so emotional and intense. It made me feel like I was being reborn. Not a good way to calm me down. Afterwards I was at peace, but I worked through so many emotional moments tripping in the shower.

It might work with some but not me I guess :shrug:

Many people have boiled magic mushrooms for about 10-30 minutes and noticed no potency loss. The "magic" doesn't degrade as fast as many people think.

I have never heard of this. I've eaten plenty of sugar, and none, before tripping. It has caused no noticeable differences.
